January 22nd, 1934.
ROLL CALL: Pursuant to agreement, the city council met in adjourned session
with I.Iayor 1-,IcGee presiding €,.nd following councilmen present: Anderson, Burns,
Haylett and Skinnell; absentees were O'Herin, Partch and Wirth. Due to council
room being used for classi in First Aid work, the meeting of the council wR,s called
in the office of the City Clerk.
APPLICATIONS FOR LY EFSES ISS DIREjCT DEALERS OF 3.2 beer, etc., were re, -.,.d
from E. G. Kerfoot of the Pasco Hotel and G. T. Austin; motion made by Haylett,
seconded by Anderson, that the licenses be grpnted; motion carried without dissent.

Co. IThe matter of handling gravel was discussed and council seemed to be of the
opinion that if gravel is furnished, it could be handled at such tir.Ze either with
rented trucks, or thru contract. 1Iotion was then made by Haylett, seconded by
Anderson, that all bids be rejected and turned back to the bidders; motion carried
without dissenting vote.
Haylett stated that he had that day interviewed LIr. Pringle as to when the
city would be able tD secure gravel and that he had been unable to get any definite
information. The had interviewed truck owners and found some could be rented. He
therefore a.skert that the committee be authorized, if and when gravel is furnished,
to contract for true'Ks, at a price of 75 cents per hour for 2 yard trucks and
;1.25 per hour for four ya.rd trucks, the city to furnish gas and oil. T.Iotion was
thereupon made by Skinnell, seconded by Anderson and carried, that the committee
be empowered to arrange for hauling gravel when it is .furnished..

used by tree pruners, which had not been approved by any city employe, was referred to
the Committee of Public Propertya.nd turned over to 1;Ir. Anderson.

S. H. jDe Pue spoke to the cd)uncil regarding possibility of putting in wells
for city via.ter with CdA labor, stating that the wells would cost about ti)6.50 per foot
for six ft. wells. 1,Iotion made by Andersoh, seconded by Skinnell and carried
that the matter of wells be refrred to the proper committee for study and investigation;
matter referred to the .*later Committee.
iAl. E. Burns, resigned as the representative of the city council on the Welfare
Board and his resignation was accepted upon motion made by Anderson, seconded by
Skinnell and carried.
R1TPAIRS TO FIRE TRUCK were discussed by Chief Pangl.e and the X"ir. e Chief
was authorized to report to the Fire Committee as to what work should be done.

adjourn; carried.
