MINUTES OF REGUTAR MEETING JANUARY 2nd were read and approved. CLAIIS: Following claims against Current xpense and Water Funds were read end motion was made by ;'birth, seconded by Partch, that the bils be allowed and warrants be drawn for the same; carried on roll call unanimously. WERE READ FROM FOLLOWING: Haluye Yamouchi of M&M Cafe, direct dealer; Denver Eote, Geo. Whitehorn and Jos. Sheley, rooms; L. Pyles and J. Patrick, restaurants; W. F. Chute, card room and soft drinks. Motion made by Haylett seonded by Burns, that the licenses be granted and carried without dissent. Communication from Peter Klockner regarding LIE bonds was referred to City Attorney. Report of Clerk passed to each councilman. Report of ,'Dater RZ anager McGee for the previoi:.s month showed net earnings of ;`";256.91, gross receipts being. '2695.95, operating exrenses ;959.04 and $1570.00 transferred to sinking fund, :�alfinP Axars total expenditures $2429.04. GOLF COURSE: A delegation of local golfers consisting• of H. W. Hull., Adolph Newman and Dr. hiarkwood Hull asked the council's aid in getting a golf course. They stated that local golfers were about to buy a site :fax abo-.it three miles from. -the city but that in order to secure 0WA labor, it would have to be city ;property; the golfers wanted to deed the property to the city and the, city could later transfer -the property back to an organisation of golfers, or they would rent the property from the city or make some other sa.tisfactor;;r arrangements so as to maintain the golf links. They were anxious, howaver, to secure CWA aid in constructing the links. A motion made by Wirth, seconded by Bnrns, that th City of Pasco accept the gift of a golf course which will. be tendered to it by local golfers, was passed without any dissenting vote. The bill of. Huston I%aotor Co. for repairs to a city truck, which had now been reduced to $57.08, was discussed further and a motion was made by Partch, seconr?ed by Haylett that the bill be paid; carried three to one on roll cell, Burns, Haylett and Partch voting for the motion, with girth voting No. WWrt'i n t 4/B 8 v NEW TRUCKS FOR GRAVEL: W. A. Pringle, works manager for the C. W. A. appeared before the council Ind stated that they had arranged to secl.ire about 4000 yards of gravel in connection with projects .for improving city streets, but that the question of haiiling; the gravel from the pit to the work would have to be considered as they city would have to do the harming and he doubted whether it could be done with the two trucks now owned by the city, one being a. 1919 and the other a 1929 truck. He did not believe that the city would be able to rent any other trucks. A motion was theh made by Partch, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk be instructed to insert a call for bids for a. 11- ton truc'k: with two yard bed, dual wheels, heavy duty; hydralzlic dump body, and also for a, similar two ton truck, bids to be filed in the office of the city clerk by 8 Phi, Monday, Jan. 22nd and to be opened by the council at an adjourned meeting that night.
