O'Herin. State Occupation tax levying 3% on gross income of water Dept. discussed and upon motion made by Wirth, seconded by Skinnell and carried on roll call, clerk was authorized to issue a warrant for $244.00 in favor of State Tax Commission, said warrant to be forwarded when necessary blanks are received. Warrant #2065 issued. LICENSE Lam. "Z APPLICATIONS WERE RECEIVED FRO1.1 FOLLOWING: L. A. Deaver and 0. B. Parkhurst to operAte drays; license granted upon motion made by Anderson, seconded by Haylett and carried. The W. J. Yardley plan of liquor control, providing for state stores in all cities of over 1000 population was discussed and motion was madd by Wirth, seconded by Skinnell, and carried, that the Yardley plan be endorsed. Application for s. dance hall at the Bunael.ow was read from .the Liberty Theatre and was granted on motion made by Haylett, seconded by Skinnell and carried. Communication from 'Iashington I°:Motor Coach Co., asking endorsement of their q.pplication' for a franchise to Coulee Dam, wasordered filed. Communication from P,,,I.ayor Stratton of Yakima, inviting the city to send repre- sentatives to a. meeting at Yakima Oct. 216th, was read and placed on. the table on motion made by Haylett, seconded by Wirth and carried. C011MUNICATION FROM STATE DEPT: OF HIGHyxJAYS, asking adoption of a resolution regarding encroachments on streets to be improved with federal money was referred. to the city attorney for handling as the proposed resolution contained a clause which would make the city liable for damage to property account of improvements. Harold H. Huston & Co. of Seattle asked the city if it cared to buy X3000. of water bonds maturing March 1st 1934 and ;
