Asjourned Session _ September
12th, 1933
ROLL CALL: Pursuant to agreement, the city council met in adjourned session with Mayor
McGee presiding and following councilmen »_resent: Burns, Haylett, Partch, Skinnell and Wirth;
absentees were Anderson and O'Herin.
Mrs. J. D. Barr and B. L• i�oline spoke to the council about unsanitary conditions pre-
vailing on Tacoma St., near their properties, dile to transients and asked that some remedy
be applied. Matter was referred to Street & Alley Committee with power to act.
ORDINANCE FOR FILTRATION PLANT, BONDS, ETC. Ordinance No. 405, covering a proposed
bond issue of $90,000. for improvements to the water system, filtration plant, etc. and providing
for submission of the {proposal to a vote of the citizens, was read. Motion made by Haylett
lis conded by Skinnell, that the ordinance be declared to have had its first reading; carried
thout dissent o4 roll call. Motion made by Haylett, seconded by Wirth, that the ordinance
be given its second reading by title only; carried and clerk read title of ordinance.
Motion made by Partch, seconded by Burns, that the ordinance be declared to have had its
second reading; roll call showed all voting for the motion.
John Beck wrote the -council asking for permission to construct an addition to his
service station on 1st & Lewis St., he proposing to build three stalls for parking of sheet
iron covering 2 x 4 lumber. Partch moved, seconded by Wirth, that the permission be
granted; motion carried..
Communication read, from the Atlas Imperial Diesel Engine Co. about a light plant
kw±xkka and no action was taken.
Mayor McGee reported on his attendance at the forming of the League of Municipalities
at Walla 'Walla, the previous week.
Janitor for city hall was discussed and the matter was finally referred to the
Building Committee.
At this point, Mr. Partch was excused.
a FOLLO':JING RESOLUTION ADOPTIIJG THE PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR 1934 WAS READ:

"WHEREAS, the City Council of the: City of Pasco, Washington, met in a.diourned session
on Tuesday, the 12th day of September, 1933, to consider the preliminary budget for the
City of Pasco for the year 1934 and having made such revisions as deemed advisable in
said budget as submitted by the City Clerk of said City of :'asco,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the preliminary budget so considered be and the same
is hereby ordered placed on file for the information of any taxpayer who may call at the office
of the city clerk for information concerning same, or for copies thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT the City Clerk of the City of Pasco give due notice
that the City Council will meet on IVIonday, the 2nd day of October, 1933, at the hour of
8 o'clock P.M. at the City Hall in the City of Pasco, for the purpose of fixing the final
budget and making tax levies in accordance therewith; that the City Clerk cause such
noticies to be published once each week for two consecutive weeks immediately following
the adoption of this resolution."
liesolution was declared adopted as read upon motion made by Haylett, seconded by
Skinnell and carried.
LAWN MOWER CEMETERY: Repairs to lawn mower at cemetery were discussed end motion
was made by Haylett, seconded by Skinnell, that the purchasing agent be instructed to buy
the parts needed to repair the lawn mower; motion carried.
ADJOURNIIENT: Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Burns and carried that council
adjourn.
