ROLL CALL: Council met in regthlar session with Mayor, McGee presiding and following council- men present, Anderson, Burns, Haylett and Partch; absent O'Herin, Skinnell and Wirth. Minutes of meetings Aug. 1st and 9th were read and approved. Claims: Following claims were read and motion was made by Partch, seconded by Burns that bills be paid and warrants drawn for the same; carried unanimously on roll call. Current Expense Warrant No. 10598 Louis Chappell Making benches for the city hall $48.00 10597 D. Hastings Labor, Sylvester Park 15.00 Water Fund 2022 . Neptune IVIeter Co. Matl. Meter parts 30.40 LICENSE APPLICATION: Application for theatre license was read from Inland Theatres,Inc., to operate the Liberty; license granted upon motion made by Anderson seconded by Haylett and carried. COPIES OF LETTERS WRITTEN BY BAAR & CUNIIINGHAM,ENGINEERS, to E'. M• Grime, N. P. Engineer of water service were read, also copy of letter to Marshal N. Dana, Regional Administtator for the NRA was read indicating that request was being made for $80,000.00 for constructing a Filtration plant. In their letter to Mr. Grime, Baar & Cunningham stated that 'they figured the increased cost of operation due to a filtering plant, would be $9968.00; of this amount $2240.00 would be for interest and $2686.00 would be for depreciation. REPORTS OF CLERK AND TREASURER, were passed around; reporA of Water Manager showing net profits of $1167.35 was read and ordered filed on'motion made by Partch, seconded by Anderson.
