Co., power for pumps _ 531.32 LICENSE APPLICATION FOR OPERATING TAXI was read from A. H. Avery, and motion was made by O'Herin, seconded by 'Virth, that the license be granted; motion carried. Water Committee asked for an extension of time in ,Jhich to prepare a• report regarding enforcing the 10% penalty on water bills not paid when due. The Finance Committee also asked for more time in which to submit a report regarding splitting the treasurers salary between water and crsrent expense funds. Report of the city clef;, in typed fcrm was furnished each councilman. p� F0L101VING RESOLUTION AUTHOF?IZING DEPOSITING OF CITY T.ZONIES IN BANK OF COI'_T,IERC.i!], PASCO, i b was read: "BE IT RESOLVED. BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASI�INGTON, that the Bank of Commerce, Pasco, .'la.shington, a bank organized under the laws V the State of Nashington and hereinafter spoken of as the bank, be a.nd*is hereby designated as city depository for the City of Pasco and the City Treasurer of said city is hereby authorized and instructed to deposit in said bank all monies that may now be or ma -y come into his hands and is available for banking. "AND 'UHEREAS the City Treasurer of the City of Pasco on or about the 13th day of Febraary, 1926, did designate the said bank as city depository and the said bank did there- after ' here_after'�5� enter into a contract __th the City of Pasco as provided for by :vection 980 of Pierce's Code for 1929, and WHEREAS, the said Cite Treasurer has since said time utilized the said bank as said city depository under terms of said contract, "NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said contract be and the sane is hereby ratified and confirmed and continued in effect. "Passed by a majority vote of the City Council of the City of 'Pasco this 113th day of I'Jay, 1933." Motion made by Haylett, seconded by Anderson, that the resolution be adopted as read was carried on roll call unanimcisly. WATER FOR KITTY BAIL FIELD AT N. P. Depot was discussed and Haylett fcr ';later Com_ mi±tee recommended that parties interested accept the offer of the id. P. and purchase water at '1.50 per month end that the city grant them the privile;-e of ug, sinold discarded hose. Motion made by O'Herin, seconded by Anderson and carried, that the report of the ',,'a.ter Committee be accepted and the parties interested be informed as to this action. DAY LIGHT SAVING WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT IN Pasco, it being the opinion of the council that inasmuch vs the railroad, its shops and other branches operate on standard time, that it would be inadvisable to make a change. Contract covering the loan of the 11. P. Ct=lorinator by the city was submitted and read; motion made by Anderson, seconded by O'Herin and carried without dissent on roll call that the mayor be authorized to sign the contract on behalf of the city. Use of city truclrs by departments other than Street Dept. and Water Dept. war dis- cussed and it was understood that when trticks are to be used by other than regular departments notation would be made on pasol.ine report so that gas could be charged.to proper department. Ordinance Ro. 404: X.1H Council proceeded to discuss proposed ordinance licensing beer sellers and tentatively fixed follovri.ng Ticonse .fees: uVholesa.lers 50.00 per year plsu 50 cents -per barrel sold; Retailers (arocers, etc.) ''20.00 per year; direct dealers 460.00 per year; clubs and lodges '150.00 per year; restaurants and hotels #60.00 per year. Motion made by BTzrns, seconded by I'lirth, that Ordinance No. 404 be declared to have had its first reading: carried unanimously on roll call; motion made by Burns and seconded by Ilaylett that Ordinance No. 404 be xaxA given its second reading by title only; carried on roll call and ordinance read by title. Motion then made by Haylett, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance 11o. 404 be declared to have had its second reading; carried without dissent on roll call. ADJOLTRI?iTENT : Council adjourned until 8 PIvl, lJonda.y, May 22nd, for the purpose of completing the ordinance and also cleaning up all unfinished business; motion to that effect being made by 'fdi rth and seconded by O'Herin.
