Adjourned Session _ September 23rd, 1932.
ROL1 CALL: City council met in regular session with following members present and
Mayor lilcGee presiding: Anderson, Burns, O'Herin, Skinnell and Mirth; absentees were
Haylett and Partch.
MINUTES OF MEETINGS HELD Sept. 6th, September 8th,xxd: September 15th and September
20th were read and approved.
CLAIMS: Following claims against Water and Current Expense F and were read and
motion was made by O'Herin, seconded by Anderson, that the bills be allowed and warrants
be drawn for the sage; roll call showed all voting for the motion:

Cummtnication from *W. S. Darley & Co. regarding $392.30 claimed due on fire siren
was referred to the Claims Committee for investigation and report.
Communication from the Atlas Imperial Diesel Engine Co., stated that they would
have their proposition ready for the council by its meeting on Oct. 4th. Clerk was in-
structed to advise them that the council would hold an adjourned meeting on Friday, Oct.7th.
Communication from the Expanding Sewer i:Ia,chine Co., Nappanee, Ind. asked for
a. testimonial as to machine purchased from them and clerk was instructed to write them
advising that root cutter had proven very satisfactory.
Salary of sexton was discussed, account J. W. Clemans having died, and clerk ,
was instructed to show Mr.. Clemans on roll for 15 days and Earl Sample ot1 roll for fifteen
days.
NATURAL GAS FRANCHISE TO BE ANNULLED: Clerk called attention to the fact that
the franchise of the 14. W. Natural Gas Corporation should be given attention as these
people had been bnotified in June, 1932 to proceed under their franchise with construction
of a distributing system, and that return card from special delivery letter indicated thatt
they had received proper notice June 28th, which would make ninety days up on -Sept. 28th.
Motion made by 47irth, seconded by Skinnell, that the city attorney be instructed to prepare
an ordinance to cancel the franchise granted to the N. IN. Natural Gas. Corporation; carried.
RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYED: O'Herin again brought up matter of relief of unemployed
this winter and spring, and then made a, motion, which was seconded by Anderson, that the
ity attorney be requested to draft and prepare an ordinance providing for a bond issue of
10,000. for the purpose of taking care of the unemployment situation and the needy citizens
of Pasco; motion carried without dissent on roll call.
COUNCIL PROCEEDED 'v'1ITH STUDY OF THE BUD =ET for 1933, cutting off several thousand
dollars for various items and then decided to complete budget work as far as possible at
a special meeting next week.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Anderson, seconded by O'Herin, that the council
adjourn until Thursday, September 29th at which meeting any uncompleted matters would be
taken care of. Motion carried.

ROLL CALL: City council met in adjourned session with ldayor I,TcG ee presiding and
following councilmen present: Anderson, Burns, Haylett, O'Herin and Partch.
BUDGET COIuTPLETED: The council practically completed ttie budget for 1933 and
fixed a ta,x levy of 231 mills for that year.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Anderson, seconded by O'Herin that council adjourn;
carried.
