be drawn for the same; roll call showed all voting for the motion.

CONTRACT.71ITH P.T.& T.CO.; Communication read from City Attorney relative tom
contract asked for by the P. T. & T. Co., regarding switch of fire alarm system
installed on their premises, and recommendation was made that term of one year a.s
specified in contract be made to read five years. (See further action later in
meeting). Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Partch, that report of attorney be
accepted; carried. Motion made by Partch, seconded by Wirth, that mayor be authorized
to sign the agreement after changing last paxagra..ph to read"five"yea.r term instead of
a one year term; motion carried.
LIGHT ON TACOMA ST. BE`i' LEEN CO3.UT:,1BIA & .ii0 LIGHT AT 5th and Park St.
discussed and motion was made by O'Herin, seconded by Skinnell, that the matter be
referred to the Light Committee for investigation and report. H-aylett for Light Com-
mittee recomgjZi*d=ed, that a 75 watt light be installed on Tacoma St., between Lewis
and Columbia -Sts.; he also recommended that the light now at 5th and Iiixon be
transferred to 5th and Park St. Motion made by "i'Jirth, seconded by O'I?erin, that
report of committee be accepted with recommendation that changes be made; carried unanimously.
Chamber of Commerce, thru Mr. Sprague, had asked that the council atathorize
the installation of a. sign post for the Auto.Assn. of America. at the Southwest corner
of 4th & Lewis. Motion made by Ahderson, seconded by Skinnell, that the matter be
referred to the :.treet Committee with power to act; motion carried.
O'Herin brol,ght up matter of relief of citizens account line.mploymont, but no
action was taken.
P.T.&T.Co.Contra.ct: Manager. Shaffer of t .e telephone company being present
spoke against cha.7jging the term of contract previously acted on from.one to five years,
