Mayor MdGee presidingtand following councilmen present: Burns, Ha.ylett, Meyer, Partch
and (firth; absent were Anderson and Sknnell.
BIDS OPENED ON CAST'IRON PIPE: Bids were received from Crane Co.,'Spokane;
Hugh Purcell Co., 'Seattle; Pacific dater 'Narks Supply Co., Seattle; Pacific States
Cast Iron Pipe Co., Portland; R.D.Wood & Co., Philadelphia; American Cast Iron Pipe
Co. x.mt'of Seattle; and Hughes & Co., Spokane. The bid of the American Cast Iron
Pipe- Coy was adjudged the 'lowest and best, their bid, on'pipe with "precaulked joints"
being-a.ecented; delivery'of-pipe'to be -m de -the latter part of February or'March lst.
The -winning bid was 01.09 per ft. for 10" pipe and 58�' per ft. for 6" pipe; the next
lowest`Yid-Vids submitted by the Pacific States 'Cast Iron Pipe -Co-.' at $1.1678 for 10" and
:6068 'per ft for 6" pipe. Motion made -by Wirth, seconded by Partch; that the bid '
of-he''American Cast Iron Pipe Co. be accepted as the lowest and best; carried unanimous-
ly on roll call.

TRANSFERS FRO11 FUND TO FUND: Attention of council was called to fact that
money owing to City Light Fund had never been transferred from Current Expense; council
thereupon on motion made by Heyer, seconded by Burns and m. cried on roll eall, instructed
that following transfers be made:

27 From Current Expense to Light Bond Fund 1800.00
28 ft it if to Light bond Interest Fund 520.00
29 From Cemetery Fund to Current Expense Fund _ 757.50
ORDINANCE No. 394 (Licensing pool halls, card rooms, etc.) Motion made by
P artch, seconded by ,'firth, that the usual order of business be suspended end that
the council proceed to have Ordinance lio. 394 read a thirdtime; motion carried
unanimously on roll call and clerk read the ordinance.

to have had its third reading; roll call showed all voting for the motion.

?chatter of asking -county reading Road & Bridge Fund money was referred to the
Street & Alley Committee.
SEWER'EQUIPMENT: --Motioh-made by Partch, seconded by Biirns, ` that a rush order
for 1000 ft. cable for sewer" work be placed with Pasco 1.1ach ine Co., so that this
ecuipment could be charged to 1931 budget; carried.
COMMITTEE FOR YEAR 1932: After ti°d. E. Burns was appointed 'as Street Superintend-
ent by Mayor 1%1c Gee, motion was made by Wirth, seconded by Meyer, that the appoint-
ment be confirmed; motion carried. '
