ROLL CALL: Citycounci 1 met in adjourned session with Mayor McGee presiding and following councilmen present: Burns, Haylett, Shinnell and Wirth; absent were .Anderson, hIleyer and Partch. MINUTES OF MEETINGS December 1st and 3rd were read and approved; CLAIMS AGAINST CURRENT EXPENSE: Following claims against Current Expresne Fund were read and motion was made by girth, seconded by Skinnell that bills be paid and warrants be drawn for the same; roll call shoved all voting for the motion. WARRANTS: t%. 9526 P. P. &-I. Co., street lights, etc. 320.95 9527_9534 Fire Dept. pay roll for month of November _24.00 344.95 CLAIitIS AGAINST WATER FUND: F011 owing bills against Water Dept. were read and motion was made by Skinnell, seconded by Wirth, that bills be paid; roll call showed all voting for the motion: 1553 P. P. & L. Co., power _ _ _ _ 246.96 T' do . service at '�*Jater tank _ _ 3.90 1554 Jones & Dillingham Co., enameling inside tank, etc. 1200.00 1555_1562 Special pay roll of Water Dept., labor on mains 230.50 1681.36 HEAT FOR FIRE DETT.: F. C. Scott of Pasco Plumbing & Heating Co., was presentx and gmoted the council a price of t+ 7.85. for installing heating apparatus in room where fire truck is kept; no action taken. Report of Water manager showing a loss of SXX $4258.82, due to relaying mains, was read and ordered filed. Report of city clerk is typed form furnished each councilman, while report of treasurer was passed around. LICENSE APPLICATION FROM FRED BARNHARDT TO OPERATE TAXI WAS READ. Motion made by girth, seconded by Haylett, that license be granted; motion carried. ORDINANCE No. 394, being an ordinance regulating and prescribing licenses for pool halls, public card rooms, etc. was read. Motion made by Wirth, seeo nddd by Haylett, that Ordinance No. 394 be declared to have had its first reading; carried on roll call without dissent. Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Haylett that Ordinance No. 394 be given its second reading by title only; motion carried on roll call witlaout dissent. ORDINANCE No. 393, being "AN ORDINANCE DEFINING VICIOUS DOGS AND PROVIDING FOR THE RESTRAINING, DISPOSITION AND KILLING THEREOF", was read; motion made by Burns, seconded by girth, that 0 rdinanee No. 393 be declared to have had its third reading. Carried on roll call without dissent. Motion made by Vlirth, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. 393 be declared adopted as read; carried unanimously on roll call. ORDINANCE No. 392, amended Ordinance No. 390 which prohibited buses from stopping on city streets and alleys for loading or discharging passengers, etc. was read. Motion made by Haylett, seconded by Skinnell, that Ordinance No. 392 be declared to have had its third reading; carried unanimously on roll call. Motion made by Skinnell, seconded by ;lirth, that Ordinance No. 392 be declared adopted as read; carried on roll call without dissent. A policy received from the Cox Investment Co. covering fleet insurance for the city trucks was referred to the Police Committee for consideration. Letter read from J. E. Steffins about his property at 3rd & Columbis in which he stated that Herman Warden was handling it. No further action taken. Lots for Street Dept.: Motion made by Burns, seconded by Skinnell, that the Street Committee be instructed to investigate the matter of city buying the six 25 ft. lots on Tacoma St., opposite the N. P. freight office, for street department use; motion carried. SEWER EQUIPMENT: Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Skinnell, that Street Committee be empowered to purchase sower cleaning equipment which was needed; motion carried. City Clerk was instructed to wire the Turbine Sewer Machine Co., Milwaukee, Wis. for price on their turbine sewer machines, complete.
