station. Motion finally made by'McGee, seconded by Partch, that City Attorney be
instructed to add to Ordinance No. 390 a provision providing-for'a restricted district between
First and Eighth Avenues on Lewis Street and between Bonneville and Colmbia Streets on
Fourth Avenue as long as the motor bus companies maintain a. regular station in which
to load and unload passengers and baggage. Motion carried unanimously on roll call.
STREET COMMITTE TO LINE UP WORK FOR UVE11,1PLOYED: Motion made by McGee,
seconded by Wirth, that the Street Committee be instructed to outline work on the
streets for patrons of "The Billet"; motion carried four to one as follows: Ayes,
Burns, McGee, Meyer, and Wirth; Noes, Partch.
REPA4ING WATER TANK: The importance of imriediately repai1ting and cleaning
the city Water tank was streesed by members of the council and Water Manager
McFarland; it was pointed out that it was in the nature of an emergency and would
have to be done at once in order to take advantage of favorable weather conditions;
work had been delayed awaiting completion of the new water tank of the Northern
Pacific and this was now completed and in use and would help somewhat in enabling the
city to keep up pressure while tank was being painted. Mr. Wyckoff of the Jones
Dillingham Co:, Spokah.e was present and when called on quoted a price of y';1200.00 for
thoroughly cleaning inside of tank and coating it'with Biturine Enamel and $860.00 for
cleaning and painting under side of tank. Clerk was instructed to advertise for
bids immediately, bids to be opened at 8 o'clock P. M. at an adjourned meeting to be
held Nov. 13th, motion to that effect being made by HcGee,mad: seconded by Partch
and carried on roll call without dissent.
ADJOURNMENT: Upon motion made by McGee, seconded by Partch, meeting adjourned
until 8 P. M. November 13th.

ROLL CALL: CiAy council met in adjourned session with following members present:
Councilmen Burns, McGee, Partch and Wirth; absentees were Anderson, Meyer and Skinnell.
Mayor Pro Tem McGee presided in the absence of Mayor Gray.
BIDS REPAINTING WATER TANK: Bids for repaiting the water tank were received
from Jones & Dillingham Co. of Spokane; one bid covered cleaning and paintin with
Biturine Enamel inside surfaces of barrel, bowl and riser, etc. at a cost of 91200.00;
other bid was to scrape and clean outside of tank, frame and riser and paint with
Bitulumin paint at a cost of $860.00. Motion made by Partch, seconded by Wirth, that
the bid of Jones & Dillingham be considered -the lowest and best bid and that they be
given the contract; roll call showed all voting for the motion.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Partch, seconded by Wirth, that meeting adjourn;
motion carried.
