ROLL CAIL : LIeeting called to order by I.Iayor Pro Tem McGee; present dere Councilmen
Anderson, McGee, Partch and ',Tirth; absentees were Johnson, I:Ieyer and Skinnell.
Clerk was informally instructed to advertise for bids on furnishing the city
with gasoline, lubricating oil and grease for one year beginning June 26th, bids to be
in by 9 PEI, June 2nd.

CLAILIS AGAINST CURRENT EXPEITSE : relative to old bills of Shell Oil Co., i:IcGee
recommended their payment, and motion was then made by Partch, seconded by Anderson, that
following bills be allowed and warrants be drawn for the same; roll call showed all votin
for the motion:

WATER DEPT. CLAILIS : Old bill for gasoline furnished in January by Shell Co. was
ordered nail ippon motion by Partch, seconded by Anderson and roll call shol:ting no dissent.

Claim of P. P. & L. Co. for 4 3.38 for lights furnished the LUssion was referred
to Cl8ims Committee for investigation and report at next meeting.
Repots of City Clerk and Treasurer were passed around.
Archie I:'IcGuire's application for soft drink license was read and motion
made by Anderson, seconded by Partch, that license be granted was carried on roll call.
Communication read from Eiireka Fire rose Co., asking whether city contemplated
buying more hose and upon motion by Partch, seconded by Anderson, City Clerk ::gas instructed
to advise them, that no more hose would be purchased this year.
Clock which regulates street lights has proven defective and matter of its
replacement was referred to Street & Alley Committee with autl.ority to act.
Police Committee thrii I1cGee, reported that Joseph Boatman was willing to act as
special officer at the highway bridge without salary and recommended that he be appointed;
motion made by Partch, seconded by .!irth, that I:ir. Boatman be appointed special officer without
pay; motion carried.
T tUCX ORDINATiCE: L4cGee reported for Police Committee that they were not yet
ready to submit an ordinance covering freight trucks, as they wished to make it sweeping enough
to include trucks not operating over regular routes and also incorporate certain changes
in traffic regulations in it.
ADJOURNEIEUT: Hotion made by Anderson, sec.onded by I.IcGee, that meeting
adjourn; carried.
