Application for license for dray for zobt . E. Swain read and motion made by T.IcGee, seconded by 'o* irth, that license be granted; roll call showed all voting for motion. Petition signed by L. W. Hemsworth, et al, read asking for two hydrants in Helms Addn•, etc., and motion made by ;firth, seconded by Skinnell that it be referred to `,la.ter Committee for investigation and report at next regular meeting. I.Iotion carried on roll call. Report of Police Judge read and ordered filed. GASOLIDE TO BE FURITISIiED BY UiiION OIL CO. Matter of gasoline discussed and motion made by I.IcGee, seconded by Johnson, that the City Clerk be instructed to write the Union Oil Co., to start delivering gasoline on the contract dated June 26th, 1930; roll call showed all voting for the motion. TRAFFIC ORDINAB"CE : F. J. Glover spokes to council about conditions for traffic at 4th & Lewis Sts. claiming that they were dangerous for other citizens and asked what had become of ordinance introduced last s7i.mmer to eliminate these conditions. Meyer stated he believed this ordinance should be brought up for consideration again, it having passed its first reading July lst, 1930. J. Llinkiewitz being present also spoke, while L. C. Churchman was invited to speak for the opposition. Motion then made by Mirth, seconded by 14eyer, that this ordinance be referred to the Police Committee for revision and report at next meeting; roll call showed all voting for the motion. Councilman Johnson was excused at this point. RE11OVAL OF GARBAGE & RUBBRSH: Mayor Gray brought up the matter of introducing an ordinance providing for collection of rubbish and garbage, a contract to be awarded to 1 i (Continued) ebruary 3 -rd, 1931. the lowest bidder. He estimated that the cost would be about 20 cents per family per month .for the service. Motion made by Skinnell, seconded by rlirth, that the matter be refrred to the Street &: Alley Committee for investigation and report; roll call showed all voting for the motion. LIBRARY APPOINTITr?.I.4T : Mayor Gray announced that while he still thought Supt. of Schools Booth was the best man to appoint on the Library Board, he was willing to appoint anyone suggested by the council; no suggestions made by the council and matter was permitted to go over to future meeting.
