Motion made by 1lcGee,seconded by Anderson, that above committees be declared elected, the first named councilman to be chairman of the committee; roll call showed unanimous vote for the motion. McGee was appointed Purchasing Agent by the mayor; motion made by Anderson, seconded by I.1eyer, that appointment be confirmed; carried on roll call without dissent, 1~.'_cGee, not voting. CLAIMS AGAIEST WMER MID: Following claims a.gaint r7ate-r Fund, chargeable in 1931 accounts were read and motion was made by McGee, seconded by Anderson, that the bills be allowed and warrants be drawn for the same; roll call showed all voting for the motion: E40ANT 1337 Pasco Electric Shop, wiring pump house & repairs to motor 117.25 1338 Columbia -Hardware Co., hardware for new pump house, 48.35 1339 D. A. TvIcKenzie, painting new pumper's dwelling _ 95.00 1340 Shell Oil Co., gasoline used by Water Dept., Dec.Fov., 25.19 1,ICGEE ELECTED I:IAYOR PROTEA: l.iotion made by Partch, seconded by 'firth, that 1;IcGee be elected as I1ayor Pro Tem; all voted yes on roll call, excepting 1,IcGee, who voted ",NO" . HYDRANT AT 12th & ',Tashington: Water Committee reported that they recommended installation of this hydrant and motion made by 1.1cGee, seconded by Partch, that hydrant be installed; carried on roll call without dissent. Matter of fire hydrant at lst & Holden Sts. discussed and motion made by McGee, seconded by Anderson, that matter be referred to iter Committee; roll call showed all voting for the motion. DOG LICERSES TO BE COLLECTED BY CHIEF OF POLICE: Motion made by Johnson, seconded by Skinnell, that the Chief of Police be instructed to proceed with the collection of dog taxes for the period ending June 30th, 1931; roll call showed all voting forthe motion. PARK BO RD APPOIbiTI:IE NTS: The term of Ers. ',7. F. Chute expiring Dec. 31st, 324 1931, and there being another vacancy on the board, I•!Iayor Gray announced the appoint of Mrs. V-1. F. Chute to the 3 year term expiring Dec. 31st, 1933 and H. E. Sandsted for the vacant term expiring Dec. 31st, 1932. Motion made by Partch, seconded by T:IcGee and carried on roll call without dissent, that the appointments be confirmed. OTHER APPOIPJTLIENTS : Alf Buchanan was re -appointed Chief of Police by the mayor; motion made by I.IcGee, seconded by Anderson, that the appointment be confirmed;, carried unanimously on -roll call. Ralph Hazelton and Tom T.drgan zza were appointed.by the mayor as patrolmen; motion made by.T3cGee, seconded by Anderson, that ;he appointments be confirmed; carried on roll call unanimously. C. A. Jones was appointed as Police Judge by the mayor; motion made by I,:cGee, seconded by Anderson, that the appointment be confirmed; carried without dissent on roll call. J. 'U. Clemans was appointed as sexton by Mayor Gray: motion made by I.IcGee, seconded by Partch, that the appointments be confirmed; carried unanimously on roll call. Art Partch was the -mayor's appointee as Street Su'.erintendent and motion was made by T;IcGee, seconded by Anderson, that the appointment be confirmed; all voted for the motion excepting Partch, who voted "No". I,TcFarla.nd for Water T;Ianager, was nominated by I,,IcGee; motion made by Partch, seconded by Anderson, that the nominations be closed and roll call showed motion carried without dissent- I•;Iotion then made by I:IcGee, seconded 'by Anderson, that IIcFarla.nd be declared elected as wtte-r manager;, roll call showed all voting for the motion excepting Partch who voted "No". For Healti. Officer, the mayor appointed Dr. H. S. Foskett; motion made by I,IcGee, seconded by Anderson, that the appointment be confirmed; roll call ordered and showed following voting "AYE: Anderson, I',IcGee, Tileyer, Partch; 111\10" was voted by Johnson, Skinnell and Wirth. TIotion declared carried. Maude A. Heater was appointed Police I,Iatron by the mayor; motion made by Partch, seconded by Anderson, that apppiTitment be confirmed; roll call showed all voting for the motion. LIBRARY BOARD A14D APPOINTMEPiT OF A BUILDIPIG INSPECTOR were not made, the mayor stating that appointments would be made at the next regular meeting. V. L. Pangle was appointed Fire Chief by ,the I.Iayor and motion made by Anderson, seconded by Partch, that the appointment be confirmed; roll call shoved all voting for the motion excepting Johnson who had been excused a few minutes before appointment was made.
