Adjourned Session _ December 30th, 1930.
ROLL CALL: City council met in gxgx7m=xx: x adjourned session pursuant to agreement
at the last meeting with Ilayor Gray presiding and following members present: Anderson,
Davis, Heyer, Partch and Wirth; absent were 1.1cGee ',.nd Sargent.

motion was

to the council; motion
finally made by Davis, seconded by i:Ieyer, that the bill be referred
to the Police Committee
with instructions to confer with the mayor and Chief of Police
relative to operating the
help given
unemployed thru the Helping Hand 1 -Mission on a systematic
basis. Roll call showed
all voting for the motion.
Bill of Heald Walkup Publishing Co., for a ma.P, 04.90, furnished to the Chief
of Police, was referred to Police Committee for investigation and -report on motion made by
Anderson, seconded by 1.1eyer, and carried on roll call.
TRANSFER FRO1,i CEI,:E'TERY TO CURREFT E! 11 -ISE FUDD: Motion made by Clirth, seconded
by Anderson, that clerk be instructed to issue transfer order covering ,2250.OG to be transferred
from Cemetery to Current Expense fund; motion carried on roll call.TRANSF -2 ORDER #23 ISSUED) .
Communication from Cox Investment Co. relative to insurance was ordered filed.
PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 390, amending Ord. 4389, by providing a 01.00 license for
permit to construct aerials, was read. Motion made by Partch, seconded by Anderson, that the
ordinance bek referred to Finance Committee; motion lost 3 to 2 on roll call as follows :
Ayes, Anderson, Partch; Noes, Davis, I:Ieyer and Mirth. No further action taken, altho
Davis hade a motion that ordinance be declared to have had its first reading, which motion
did not receive a second.
LIBRARY CONTRACT: Communication read from the Carnegie Corporation, stating that the
only contract they had in their files was a copy of our Ordinance Iuo. 92.
The 1931 budget calling for subscriptions to the American City i,Iagazine, motion
was made by I•rleyer, seconded by Anderson, that the City Clerk be instructed to enter sub-
scriptions for members of the city council, mayor, city clerk and ~dater Kanager. Roll call
showed all voting for the motion.
I�:Iayor instructed clerk to write janitor that her services would be dispensed with
Jan. 1st, as he had made other arrangements (Butler to do the work).
Claims against Current Expense for material for Park, amounting to 084.28 hada
been referred to the council by the Auditing Committee as Park fund was used up, except for
labor; motion made by Partch, seconded by girth, that bills be allowed and charged to
Park sewers; motion lost four to one on roll call, as follows: Ayes, ,Firth; Moes, Anderson,
Davis, Meyer and Partch.
TRUCK BOUGHT: Council considered bias submit ed,for a new truck or ',rater Dept.,
a Ford at 0598.00 and Chevrolet at 600.00; motion made by seconded by `,�;-that the
bid of the Pasco Auto Co., for a Cherolet truck at N600.00 be accepted as the best bid; roll
call showed all voting for the motion.
ADJOURN1lMLIT; Motion made by Davis, seconded by Wirth, that meeting adjourn; carried.
