ROLL CALL: The city council met in regular session i^rith lTayor Gray presiding and following members present: 'Councilmen Davis, Meyer, Partch and vVirth; absent were Anderson, McGee and Sargent.. MINUTES OF REGUZAR MEETING JUNE 3rd were read and approved. CLAIMS AGAINST CUR=4 T EXPENSE: Follrnring claims against Current Expense Fund .were read and motion w;as made by Partch, seconded by Meyer, that bills be paid; roll ;call showed all voting for the motion: WAR -PANT: ' 8513 P. Motion made by Partch, seconded by ;Meyer, that licenses be granted; roll call showed all voting for the motion. Form letter from National Surety Co. read regarding bond of H• C. dross Construction Co. for constructing new light poles; . clerk instructed to advise them -that the pro rk was completed. TRANSFER FROM CIRRENT EXPEIISE TO CITY H.EL SINKING FUND: Motion waz made by Meyer, seconded by Wirth that $4200.03 due to city hall bond. sinking fund be transferred from current expense to city hall fund; roll ca11-,shoed all voting for the moti on. In discussing tray. sf ers to other sinking funds, it bras decided to make such additional transfers later in the year. Considerable discussion of traffic ordinance was had, and Wirth was informally instructed to call the Police Committee to ge th er for a meeting with Mayor. and Police Dept. and see if the traffic laws could not be strictly enforced, re -port to be made at the next meeting. R. B. Lee advised the council that the American Legion had decided not°to have a carnival here on July 4th, but asked that they be granted privilege of dis- posing of all concessions for their celebration July 4th and 5th. Motion made by Partch, seconded by Meyer, that the necessary permission be given them and tl-v-- t no license be granted for any other carnival or similar concessions far these days.
