FIRE CETEF APPOINTED: I~.-layor Gray stated that he wished to vrithdraw the appoint- ment of V. L. Pangle as captain of the Pasco Fire Dept. iviotion made by Partch, seconded by idcGee, that action of the mayor be sustained; roll call showed unanimous vote in favor. Mayor then appointed V. L. Pangle as Chief of ' the Fire Dept. Motion made by McGee, seconded by Partch, that the al-l)ointrrent be confi rmed; roll_ call showed all voting in favor. Motion made by It2cGee, seconded by Partch, tbat the city attorney be instructed to draw up an ordinance in proper form providing for inspection of demises for fire hazards by the Fire Chief; roll call shored all voting in favor of the motion. Mayor Gray appointed Demps Butler as Captain of the Fire Dept. Motion made by McGee, seconded by Partch, that the appointment be confinued; motion declared as carried; roll call showed those voting "Aye" as McGee, Meyer and Partch; "No" sargen t. Jerk. , CITY COUNCIL CHAT>IBERS Regular Session _ Argil 15th, 1930. ROLL CALL: City Council session called to order by h1anyor Pro Tem McGee; in the absence of Idayor Gray. Present were Councilren: Anderson, McGee, Ivleye-r, Partch and Wirth. Absentees were Davis and Sargent. Minutes of meeting April lst were read and approved. . AIR MAIL JUBILEE CONCESSIONS: Messrs. Tvl. R. Nelson and G. H. Hazzard addressed the council relative to the Air 11Iail Jubilee and asked that they be granted a license for• a carnival the week of the celebration, that they be permitted to have the carnival on the lots adjacent to the City Hall and use a portion of Clark St. if necessary and that no licenses be granted by tI-&-, council previous to the celebration for any other carnival. Motion made by Wirth, seconded by Partch, that permission be given to the air jubilee comiliit-Fee to use the grounds at tIm city hall for a carnival,&that the city do not issue any licenses :pxa3dmxm for other amusements previous to the celebration 1,1otion carried. Richardson, for truck; motion made by Partch, seconded by Anderson, that license be granted and motion prevailed unanimously on roll call. REPORTS OF C01-001ITTEES:1Ieye-r reported for Finance Committee regarding group insurance for the city trucks, that he had been advised by 1dr. Landt that there would be a reduction in rates probably on April 15th; time for committee's report was extended until next meeting to see what would develope in matter of rates. Partch reported for Light Committee that the P. P. & L. Co. had placed a marker to indicate dividing line be ti.Freen city and their property and that ordinance covering contract for lights could therefore properly be passed. IA-1PROVIFG 6^IATA SERVICE TO GRAY'S EAST RIVE,RSIDE ADDITION: In order to properly improve the service to Gray's '.last Riverside Addition, Partch reported that considerable material would be required and he made a motion, which was seconded by Viirth, that 'Mater Manager h1cFarland be instructed to order all material necessary to make a satisfactory connection with the Gray's East Riverside Addition Water System. Roll call showed a unanimous vote for the motion.
