MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION January 21st, were read and approved.

motion was made by McGee, seconded by rartch, that they be paid; roll call showed all voting

call showed all voting in favor of. motion, excepting Partch., who voted
"No".
BIDS FM GASOLINE & OILS: Bids were opened for gasoline and oils to be furnished
the city coring the ensuing year. Bids for gasoline were at 191 cents per gallon, these
bids being submitted by the Standard, Union and Shell Oil Comcanies. The bid of the Shell
Co. provided for a top price of 191 per gallon,with no limitations as to quantities to be
used and tiLile bid of Union Oil Co. also provided for a top price of 191 cents, it covered
a minimum requirement of 1800 gallons and maximum of 2000 gallons. The bid of the Standard
Oil Co. did not quote the 191 cent figure as the top price for the year. After consideration,
motion was made by Wirth, seconded by Partch, that the bid of the Shell Oil Co. be accepted
as the best and that the Idayor be authorized to execute the contract. Roll call showed
all voting for the motion.
Request of the Pasco Taxi Co. for a fifty ft. parking space parallel with the curb
at the depot, was laid on the table upon motion by 1.IcGee, seconded by Partch and roll call
shmving unanimous vo to fo r t a e moti on.
Communication from'Seattle Chamber of Commerce requesting a copy of tYr, city's `
charter was referred to the clerk for reply.
LIBRA_KY BUP.RD: Mayor Gary announced the appointment of George Gough as a member
of the library board, vice Mrs. Carl Bird, whose term expired December 31st, 1929; motion
made by IVIcGee, seconded by Wirth, that the appointment be confirm; roll call ordered and
mioued foilo-vaing: Ayes, McGee, Meyer, Partch and Wirth; Noes, Davis and Sargent.
Mayor stated would hold up matter of filling vacancy on Park Board until later.
Report of Police Judg e read and ordered filed.
Copy of agreem nt. signed by the Union Oil Co., relative to protecting the city
against damage or injury to electric light conduits and cables at their service stations
was ordered placed on file.
