Roll call showed all voting for the motion. PETITION OF R. E. NORTON et al, asking for an arc light at 9th and A Streets, was referred to the Light Committee upon motion made by McGee, secoryl.ed by Anderscn, for investigation and report at the next meeting. Roll call showed all voting for the motion excepting Partch, who voted "no". Contract received from Union Oil Co., for gasoline and oils and motion was made by McGee, seconded by Anderson, that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for furnishing gasoline and oils for the city's requirements during 1930, bids to be in on Feb. 4th. Roll call shaved all voting for the motion. Report of Water Dept. for month of December shaved gross earnings of $2781.50; operating expenses X1634.09; interest on bonds of 01050.00, leaving net proft of 897.41 for the month. Report filed. Report of Police Judge for December showing collections of 4p28.35 was read and ordered filed. CREATION OF SECIAL TATER REVENUE rUND AND MAN&ER CF $1570. MONTELY INTO THAT FUND TO TIM CARE (F BOND APtD II00EREST PAYIJENTS: The folloting resolution was read: "WHEREAS, The City of Pasco owns and operate_4 a public utility known as th e City Water Department of tai e City of Pasco, and "WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has caused to be issued and sold, bonds on this utility in the amount of 9216,000..payable serially as set out in City of Pasco Ordinances Nos. 345 and 351, and "WHEREAS, City of Pasco ordinance No. 345 provides for the creation of a fund for the purpose of paying principle and interest as provided in Ordinances Nos. 345 and 351 by setting aside and paying into said fund certain fixed amounts from the gross revenues of the water works system, and "WHEREAS, A schedule has been prepared shovdng the amounts necessary to be in this fund at fixed times in order that these various payments of interest and principle can be paid,. and that if a certain amount be regularly, paid each month out of the gross revenues of the water department into a "Pasco Special Water Revue Fund", that there will be available in this fond sufficient money to meet all payments as they fall due, now, "THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Treasurer be and is hereby authorized and instructed to transfer from the gross revenues of the Water Department each and every month beginning with the month of January, 1930, the sum of �1, 570.00, up to and including the month of October, 1943, and beginning vd th the month of November, 1943 the sum of $`545.00, up to and including the month of March, 1945, into a fund to be known as the "Pasco Speckal Dater Revenue Fund", for the payment of Bond Interest Coupons and Bonds issued against the ;Mater Department, and for no other use, and that the sum of x'2790,00 be transfe rred . from 'die Water Bond interest Fund, to the Pascom Special Mater Revenue Fund, and that the sum of q2650.38 be transferred from the Water Bond Redemption Fund to the Pasco Special 101ater Revenue Fund. "Passed and approved by the City Council, this 7th day of January, 1930." Motion n --de by McGee, seconded by Anderson, moved the adoption of the above resolution and motion carried without any dissenting vote upon roll call. ORDINANCE No, 383, covering adolbtion of assessmeat.roll for Columbia St. sidewalk was read; motion n-aae by .Anderson, seconded by McGee, that it be declared to have had its third reading; roll call shoved all voting in favor.Motion made by Anderson, seconded by McGee, moved adoption of ordinance and all voted in favor of the moti on. .. Partch called attention t.) the fact that the contractor on the city light improvement had put in 6000 lumin lamps, instead of 4000 lumin specified and he was informally instructed by the oe unci l to get together with the city attorney and have the Uoss Construe tion Co. rectify their error. It was agreed, that until smaller lamps were put on the pole, the circuit having forty poles and which usually burned all night, would be the only on� burned, the other circuit being. turned off all night, Regular :7ession _ Jan -Lary 7th, 1930. this, in order to keep down the operating cost of the. lights. 0IOUTANCE No. 384, covering proposed contract tidth the P. P. & L. Co., for electricity furnished new pole lights, at two cents per K7IH for a period -of ten years, was discussed and revised in certain particulars.. Ordinance was refer xed back to the Light *Committee to talm up erith the P. P. & L. Co., to ascertain if the changeiJ made by the council would be acceptable to the power company, before the revised ordinance was passed. Davis brougit up the matter of radio interewference, staing that Is "Radio Listeners" club would be organized in the near future to try. to better radio reception. He stated that some of the radio owners, believed that the P. P. &.L. Co. was responsible for a great deal' of their troublD on account of overloading their feed lines and that some action should be taken by the cotuzcil regarding radio matters. No action taken. The council informally instructed the Finance F;ommit tee to meet with the Treasurer and arrange for submitting a'bld on the proposed issue of light bonds January 14th. Object of the me e ting -was to airard bid for bond issue covering rehabilitation of down .A town street lights. n BIDS ON BOND ISSUED The council adjourned to the office of the City Treasurer for the -purpose of opening bids for the Street Light Construction Bonds amounting to $12,961,26 and opened the following bids: State Finance Committee for the State of Washington, bid on bonds at par and to bear interest at 5�'.-J/2 per cent interest; City Treasurer Rutherford submitted the follovztng bid: bonds at par, plus a one dol3.ar premium and interest at 4 per cent. BONDS AWARDED TO CITY: The b id of the Ci ty of Paso o be ing t he be st, mo tion *as made by Wirth, seconded by Meyer, that the bid of the city be accepted as the best and most favorable one.
