Lind, Seattle, asking whether it was against the city laws to make a left hand turn in the center of a block and was referred to the City Attorney upon motion made by zirth, seconded by Partch. Operation of fire engine was 3' discussed and motion was made by McGee, seconded by Davis, that the matter of condition of fire engine and its operation be referred to the Fire Committee for investigation and report at the ne,-.t meeting. Roll call shorted all voting for the motion. Water M-anager!s suggestion about making monthly transfer of ?l570.00 from the Water r'und into the Water Bond Sinking and Interest Funds was discussed but no action was taken. Motion was made by Partch, seconded by Wirth, that the City Attorney be instructed to write the widoir of Mayor Ben Hill of 4'lalla 111a11a, expressing the sympathy and extending condolences from the Mayor and City Council; motion carried.
