MINUTES OF MEETING HMD NOV35BER 5th, 1929, were read and approved LIGHTED SIGN AT N. P. DEPOT WAS ORDERED DISC ONTINIJED,upon motion me.de by Partch, seconded by Wirth and City Clerk was instructed to write the P. P. & L. Co. instructing them to discontinue the sign and in lieu therdof, place a sixty watt lam on each pole. Roll call showed all voting for the motion. CLAIMS AGAINST CU ?ENT DENSE : Claim of P. P. & L. Co., amount $21.8.60 for street lights, city hall, street barn and sign at depot, was read and motion made by Anderson, seconded by. Meyer, that the bill be allowed and warrant drawn for the same. Roll call showed unanimous=ote for the motion. WARRANT 8084 ISSUED. Communication from Chamber of Commerce. a.slm d for a stat erg rot of cost of buildings erected since Hanuary lst, 1929; motion mw de by Anderson, seconded by Girth, that the City Clerk be ins tructed to write the City Building Inspector requesting him to furnish a report of all buildings constructed since the $.rst of the year and that he furnish a monthly report covering building permits issued, hereafter. Roll call showed all voting for tie motion. WATER MANAGER WAS GRJiNTED P:ERIYiISSION TO IC,AY PRESENT OLD 4" PIPE ' IN BLOCK FROM COLUIt-,EBIA TO LEWIS, between Fourth & Fifth, at an estimated cost of ?236.50, motion to that effect being made by Partch and seconded by Anderson; roll call shoved all voting for the motion. PURCHASE OF THAWING MACHINE AT A COST CE' $282.00 FOB Walla Walla, was authorized upon motion by Partch, seconded by Anderson and all voting for the motion. BILL OF RO + + 1OT OR CO. , amount $54.40. which had been re fer re d to the Street Dept. was reported on Partch, who recommended payment and stated that proper requisitions covering purchases would be secured in future. Motion :rade by Partch, s corded by Meyer that the bill be paid; roll call showed all voting for the motion. ARRANT 8085 ISSUED. ORDINANCE No. 381, being "AN ORDINANCE FIXING TIE SALARY OF THE ASSISTANT TO THE CITY CL ERIC was given its third reading and motion was mma de by Fartch, seconded by Meyer, that ordinance be declared to have had its third reading; roll call showed all voting for the motion. Motion made by Partch, ;seconObd by Meyer, that the ordinance be declared adopted as read; roll call snowed unanimous vote for the motion. Proposed Ordinance No. 382, providing ibr a license for solicitors of dry cleaning and repair concerns was read; motion made by Anderson, seconded by Meyer, that the ordinance be referred to the Police & License Committee Jbr consideration; roll call showed all voting for the motion. ITEW LIGHTS ACCEPTED: Motion made by Partch, seconded by Wirth, that the new light system be accepted by the city; roll call showed all voting for the motion. Mo ti on made by Partch, seconded by Anderson, that Glenn Collins be paid the sum of $200.00 for his services as city engineer on the light installation, @60.00 to be paid out of Engineering Dept. Fund. in Current Expense and �'?140.00 to be paid out of the City LigItCons true ti on Fund, and that the City Treasurer be ins true ted to transfer @140.00 from the City Hall to City Light Construction Fund; all voted for the motion on roll call. CURRENT EXPENSE, Warrant 8083, amount $60.00 issued to cover CITY LIGHT FUND, WARRANT 1338, amount $140.00, issued to cover Final. PAY1ENT MA BE FOR NEW LIGHTS: / Estimate of H. C. Trioss Construe ti on for payment on the installation of the new lights was submitted by Mr. Moss as follows: amount of contract 012405.06, less $3159.00 previously paid, plus $416.20 for extras including installation of 2 additional poles on Columbia St., making total of $9662.26 still due. Motion made by Anderson, seconded by Meyer, tlat the bill be allowed and City Clerk issue necessary warrant and transfer order on City 'Treasurer instructing her 'to transfer above mount from City Hall to City Light Construction round; roll call showed xxmxzxk unanimous vote for the motion. Additional bill submitted by the H. C. Moss Construction Co. for @441.41 for extra post, cable, etc. was discussed and it was decided to consider it maintenance material; motion made by Partch, seconded by I:Ieyer, that payment of the bill be deferred until 1930 and that it then be charged to maintenance. Roll call showed all voting for the motion. REPORT OF CITY TREASURER A10 CITY MERK PASSED MOUND. City Cle xk called attention to the fact that treasurer's report showed $2973.58 on hand Oct. a-st in the Current Expense Fund, and that that fund would be in red when November report was issued. COLU11BIA STREET SIDEWALK: Partch submitted revised assessment roll for Columbia Street Sidewalks and motion was made by Anderson, seconded by Partch, that hearing on the assessment roll be held Dec. 17th, 1929. Rollcall showed all voting for the motion. ADJOURNTAEFT: Motion made by Anderson, seconded by Partch that meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
