ROLL CALL: The city council met in regular session with Mayor Gray presiding;
follo:ring councilmen answered to roll call: McGee, Meyer, Partch and .rth; absent
were Anderson, Davis and Sargent.
CLAIMS: Estirrato No. 1, favor H. C. Moss Construction Co., amounting to y�3159.00,
for setting up 72 poles and removing 72 old old poles, was read. Motion made �r
Partch,: seconded by Wirth, that the estimate be alloyed and that warrant be issued
to pay .the contractor up to date of Oct. 15th, less 15% reserve, in accordance
with the estimate and that the clerk ' be ins true ted .to issue a transfer order instruc ting
l the city treasurer to transfer 5p3159.00 from the City Hall Sinking Fund as a loan to
the City Ligit Construction Fund, so that warrant could be drawn against the latter
fund. - Roll call showed all voting in favor of the motion.

Following claims against Current Expense and ;later Fund were read and motion was
made by Partch, - seconded by Wirth, that the bills be allowed and warrants be drawn for

•--MINUTES CY MEETING HELD OCTOBER 1st and OCTOBER 7th• were read and approved.
. Communication read from School Board filing objection to the city taking any
action• relative to opening street thru•.the high school field. Street• Committee
reported that nothing could be done relative to this matter,which was brought up
thru a• petition filed by- J. A. Wands, e t al. especially as the School Board made
ob jection. No further action taken. .
The petition of G. R. -Hodge for a restaurant license at 218 W Lewis St.
was granted, upon motion made by McGee, seconded by Meyer and there being no vote
against the motion.
Relative to the appointment of Ronald McArthur as Chief of Police, which
had been referred to Davis, there being no report, to dispose of the -matter, motion was
made by Meyer, seconded by Wirth, that the appointment be rejected. Roll call showed
all voting for the motion.
ADJOURIUDIENT: Motion made by Partch, seconded by McGee, that meeting
adjourn; motion carried.
