Regular session
October is t, 1929.
Report of Police nudge swing collections of X287.00 was read and ordered filed.
P. r. Fitzpatrick appeared before the council relative to the pole removed from in
front of his place of business and asked that it be replaced. Mat to r vras left- in the
hands of the Street Uommittee.
Mayor Gray appointed Ronald McArthur as Chief of Police; Davis stated he would be
in Yakima mondW and McGee moved, seconded by ',7irth., that the appointment be referred to
Davis for investigation and report.
Counci 1 pro ceeded to c onsider the budget and moti on was made by Arii.erson, seconded
by Davis, that the Ci tylt7 Attorney be instructed to Wepare-an ordinance based on
a tax levy of 1711 mills fcir current expense, library and Park and 6 mills for bonds -and
interest. Roll.call shaved all voting for the motion.. ,
ADJOURNIVENT :. Council then adjourned upon motion made by McGee, seconded by Anderson,
to meet in special meeting on October 7th for the purpose of at that time -adopting the
budget for 1930.. „

SPECIAL SESSION _ October 7th, '1929.
ROLL CALL: The council met in special session �ith 1Iayor Gray presiding, for the purpose
of adopting the budget for the year 1930; present were Councilmen Anderson, %.IcGee, Heyer
and 'girth; absentees were Davis , Partch and Sargent.
ORDINANCE No. 380 covering the 1930 bud get was read; motion by Anderson, seconded by
Mcuee, that the ordinance be declared tD have had its first reading; roll call :hgived
unanimous vote for the motion.
Motion made by Arxlers on, seconded by Tdcue e, that Ord inane e i4o. 380 be given its second
reading by title; roll call sh ave d unanimous vote 'for the motion. Ordinance was thereupon
read. by title.
