ROLL CALL: The City Council met in regular session with Mayor Gray presiding and following councilmen present: Anderson, Davis, McGee, I;ieyer, Partch, Sargent and Wirth. MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION AUGUST 20th AND ADJOURNED SESSION ON AUGUST 26th were read and approved. CLAIMS AGAINST WATER FUND: FOLLOWING BILLS AGAINST TEE and motion was made by Anderson, seconded by ;'firth, that the bills all voting for the motion: WARRANT NO. 2 953 954 955 956 957 958 959 960 961 962 963 WATER FUND 'WERE READ be paid; roll call showed CLAIMS AGAINST SYLVErSTER PARK FUND: ' Following claims against the Sylvester Park Fund were read and motion was made by Partch, seconded by I1eyer, that the bills be paid; roll call showed unanimous vote for the motion: Warrant ,115 Fred Schuman, for labor in park' _ _ 22.50 " Tl6 Mrs. Fff. Hartzog, 350.20, repairs to fire truck. Relative to two bills from Welsh Stauffer Co., after discussion, motion was made by McGee, seconded by Mirth, that these two bills be allowed. WARRANT No. 7974, amount ��109.25 COVERS WELSH S`TAUFFER CO. CLAIMS. Motion was then made by McGee, seconded by Anderson, that the City Clerk be instructed to advise the chief of Police, that the city will not pay any more repairx bills for repairs to the Chief's car; motion later withdrawn. Motion then made by Partch, seconded by Davis, that the matter be referred to the Police Committee; roll call showed following votes: Ayes, Anderson, Davis, L.Ieyer, Partch, Sargent and :11irth; Noes, McGee. CLAIM OF CHAS. HARTSOG, amount y 50.20, for repairs to Fire Truck, was then referred to Fire Committee, upon motion made by I:IcGee, seconded by Anddrson; roll call showed fol- lowing results: Ayes; Anderson, Davis, McGee, ,Heyer, Sargeir� and Wirth'- Noes, Partch, I'IATER FOR GRAY' S EAST RIVERSIDE ADDITION:, .. Gommunication read from City Attorney O'Brien advising the council, that an extension of the Z°layer system to Gray's East Riverside Addition could only be financed thru a general obligation ,bond issue, a general tax levy or thru creation of a local improvement district. eater Committee reported that the pro- posed extension would cost approx. X4000. or X5000. After discussion, a motion was made by IvICGee, seconded by Anderson, that the Water Committee be given further time in which to study the matter and motion carried on roll call without any dissenting vote. Report of i'fater Manager sho7ed net profits of 02107.69xXand was ordered filed. Report of Police Judge was read and ordered filed. Ordinance INTO. 378, being "AIT ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ASSES%',iIT OF THC,COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS ON COLUI:IBIA STrET, ADJACENT`. TO CERTAIN LOTS IN BLOCKS 16, 21 and 22, of Gerry's Addition to the l'ovni, Now City, of Pasco" was given its third reading, motion mde by Anderson, seconded by Partch, that the ordinance be declared to have had its third reading; roll call shored all voting for the motion. i;iotion by Anderson, seconded by Meyer, moved I- the adoption of the ordinance as read and roll call showed all voting in favor of the motion. Ordinance No. 379, being ''AB ORDINANCE FIXING TIM, SALARY OF THE CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF PAS CO AITD Piz OVIDIEG Tj1 E THODS OF PAYIiIENT OF THE SAI=IE" was given its third reading and motion was made by fart -ch, seconded by Anderson. that the salary be set at X200.00 per month; -roll call showed unanimous vote in favor of the motion. Partch moved, seconded by Anderson, that Ordinance No. 379 be declared to have had its third reading and roll call showed all voting in favor of the motion. Motion then made by BlcGee, seconded by Anderson, that Ordinance No. 379 be declared adopted; roll call indicated unanimous vote for the motion. STREET LIGHT CONSTRUCTION i'UND: Clerk read a resolution to transfer =,200.00 from the City hall bund and X2800.00 from the Refunding Bond fund to the nein Street Light Construction ivund, stating that treasurer was holding one warrant against the neer fund (.No.335.9 amount Y9.60) which she wanted to clear out of her accounts. After discussion by the council, it was decided that when bills against the Light Fund were ordered paid, they would at the same time instruct the treasurer to make necessary transfer to enable her to pay the warrants covering such bills. It was also decided that the warrant coveting cost of advertising for bids should be charged against "City Printing" in current expense fund. '11otion was thereupon made by McGee, xa:=asx seconded by Partch, that Clerk be instructed to issue the, necessary warrant to replace Warrant Irl -335., which the treasurer was holding, which could be cancelled. Carried. WARRUINT NO. 7975;` favor City 'Treasurer, amount X9.60 issued. Clerk submitted tentative budget and necessary rum resolutio4, but council decided to go over the budget to see that it was ample to cover all -requirements.
