ROLL CALL: The city council met in regular session with Mayor Gray presiding and
following councilmen present: Anderson,. Davis,, Tilei;ee, Lleyer, Sargent and Wirth;
absent, Partch.

OK'd by committee and upo4 motion by McGee, seconded by Meyer, was xz referred to the
Street & Alley Committee for investigation and report at next meeting.
Meyer of Claims Committee reported on claims of Roff I41otor Co., $2.85 and
Chas. Hartzog, $6.80, for repairs to cemetery lawn mower. Motion made by Anderson,
seconded by McGee4i that the bill of Chas. Hartzof be paid; carried on roll call. (This
amount included in WARRANT "7914)
Motion made by Andetson, seconded by McGee, that the bill of Roff Llotor Co.
be returned to them for-66rrection as council believed bill to be excessive; roll call
showed all voting for the motion.
LICENSES: Following applications for licenses were read: Leigh Kerr, dray;
Conlen Bros., 2 trucks for Braying; Harry Yamuchi for M & id, Cafe; motion made by XXX
McGee, seconded by Anderson, that the licenses be granted; motion carried.
Petition was read from Ida Abbott et al, asking that the city water system
be extended to GRAY'S EAST RIVERSIDE ADDITION; motion made by Anderson, seconded by Meyers
that the petition be referred to the Water Committee for investigation and report at the next
meeting; roll call showed unanimous vote for the motion.

dog tax; roll call showed all voting for the motion.
Communication read from tjater I:ranager advising that a niniber of old meters had
been stolen and that two had been recovered.
Report of Water ry anager for the month showed net profits of X1258.49.

City Clerk .submitted report on licenses issued for current year.
Proposed Ordinance No. 378, being "An Ordinance relating to regulating,,
supervising and lice)Rsa.ng pool and. billiard halls and soft drink parlors, and repealing
Ordinance No. 365" was to ' come up for its third reading.
Motion made by Davis, seconded by Sargent,.that City clerk be instructed to
throw .ordinance in Waste basket. Roll call showed following: Ayes, Davis and
Sargent; Noes, McGee; - Not voting, Anderson, Meyer and Firth.
Motion made by Davis, .seconded by Sargent, that the proposed ordinance No.
378 be rejected; roll call showed following:. Ayes, Anderson, Davis, T;Ieyer, drgent,
and Wirth, Noes; McGee •
Mayor Gray appointed A. Schultz as tihief of Police; Motion made by McGee,
seconded by Anderson, that the matter be 'referred to Police Oorsmittoe for investigation;
roll call sho�red,.all voting for the motion.
McGee brought up the matter of watering trees and parking strips, suggesting
that the` tcao men of the Street Dept. might be placed under the slater Manager, who
Mould- be in a position to know whet time of the .day the water for city use could be
best spared. No action taken.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by !,.,cGee, seconded by Anderson, that the
meeting adjourn; motion carried.
