Mayor Gra; appointed Dan Putnam, Sr. as a member of the Library Board, vice B. B. Horrigan, resigned. Motion made by t1eyer; seconded by.Partch, that appointment .be confirmed; roll call showed unanimous vote for the motion. Mg,yo-r Gray appointed Ae IK. Wilkins as Chief of Police at the previous meeting and JU4 matter came up for disposition: motion made by Partch, seconded by I-.IcGee, that the appointment be confirmed; roll call showed following; Ayes, LcIcGee, Mleyer, Pgr.tch; Noes, Mirth.. Partch stated that Street Dept. wanted to secure forty arterial highway stop signs from the Automobile Club of Mash., at a cost of X1.55 each; motion made by McGee; seconded by Wirth, that the clerk be instructed to order these signs; roll call 'showed all voting for the motion. ,•Ir. Snow of the Snow Construction Co., Spokane, spoke about rock crushers, but as there is no money available in this year's budget, no further action was taken. The American Legion asked for permission to bring in a carnival July 8th to 13th, inclusive and motion was made by Meyer, seconded by Wirth, that the Legion be granted permission to sponsor a car4ival on the above dates and that the city do not issue any license to other carnivals previous to those dates. Roll call showed all voting for the motion. The license application of J. A. Johnson to operate a malted milk and soft drink stand on !�ourth St., being brought in, motion was made by 1:icGee, seconded by Wirth that the license be granted; roll call showed full affirmative vote. CLU.�TER LIGHTS : Partch submitted plans and specifications covering proposed rehabilitation -of cluster light system and after discussion, it was decided to propose a bond issue of N13,000.00 and City Attorney agreed to have an ordinance ready for introduction the following night, if the council decided to meet at that time. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by r:icGee, seconded by Wirth, that the council adjourn until Wednesday night, June 19th at 8 P.H.; motion carried. COUNCIL MET IIT All ADJOURAIED SESSION With Mayor Gray presiding and following mombers- p-resent : Anderson, 1vIeGee,%Y77;, er, Partch and Wirth. PROPOSED ORDINANCE. being "An-Ordinancex appropriating funds of- the City of Pasco from Current Expense Funds, for* the, purpose of repairing, constructing and reconstructing the city cluster lights, etc." was introduced and read; motion made by Anderson, seconded by McGee that the ordinance be declared to have had it's first reading; roll call shovred all voting for the motion. Motion made by McGee, seconded by Wirth, that the ordinance be read by title only; roll call showed all voting for the motion. Motion made by Meyer, seconded by Anderson, that the ordinance be declared to have had its second reading; roll call shoiyed unanimous vote for the motion. IVIr. Boyd, representing the Westing house Electric uo. addressed the council giving further information by lights.
