ROLL CALL: The city council met in regular ssession with I,Iayor Gray Presiding;
following members were present: Councilmen Anderson, Davis, I,IcGee, Partch, i4eyer,

REVOLVING FUNDS CLEAMED UP: Clerk advised the council that of the special
revolving nznd of ;)'1000.00 granted to slater Manager account labor hired during the
freeze-up emergency, 11r. I•Ioretz had turned back to the City Treas- rer 6458.13 (as
per treasurer's -receipt Ido.41) and that 0541.87 had been spent from the fund for
labor. He also advised the council that treasurer's receipt No. 42 covered ;,28.85 °
turned back to the city treasurer by Ifr. 1-Joretz, balance of his original :;;335.00 revolv-
ing fund and that consequently outstanding revolving funds in the slater Dept. had now
been cleaned up.

ciATER. 1.1111 TAMER IrICFARL -ND WAS GRANTED A REVOLVING FUND OF 650.00, after a
communication from him was read; motioia to that effect was made by I.IcGee, seconded
by :?irth and roll call shoved all voting for the motion. WARRANT 1#371 issued.
PETITION ','TAS READ FROI.I I. IA. 1.1", TZT-AN et all, asking for a larger main on
Hegerman St., to replace the 3/4 inch line now in use; motion'm de by I.icGee,
seconded by Anderson� that the matter be reffrred to the dater Committee; roll call
shoved a unanimous vote for the motion.
Application of ITlartin & Draucher, for a restaurant license at 218 West Lewis
was read and license granted upon motion of Partch, seconded by I.IcGee; roll call
showed all voting for the motion.
Report of Public, Property committee, relative to proposal of the Burroughs
ADding 1.��achine Co., to service �-y-,chine in Treasurer's office for1314.x® per year,
was read; the committee recom;aending that the contract be signed; motion made by
Anderson, seconded by Partch, that the mayor be authorized to enter into the above
contract; roll call showed no opposition to the motion.
Report of Police Judge sho,-red collections of 069.00 and mo pion was made by
Anderson., seconded by Wirth, that the -report be accepted a -a placed on file; motion
was later ti-rithdhawn and I:IcGee then moved, seconded by Anderson, that the repot be
referred back. to the Police Judge for a more detailed report; motion carried.

previous month; motion made by HcGee, seconded by Partch, that report be accepted
and placed on file; roll call shm7iied unanimousvote for the motion.

Proposed ORDINANCE No. 376, being, "AIT ORDIN-0CE GRANTING TO R. E. COI,rSS,
HIS HEIRS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, A NATURAL GAS IiFD ARTIFICIAL GAS FRANCI3ISE AND THS;
RIGHT TO CONSTRUCT, OPERATE, AND IFTAINTAIN A GAS PLAITT AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTE11 IN THE
CITY OF PASCO, i"TASHINGTON, PRESCRIBING TEE IEER-11S OF SAID TiAITT, AND RELATING THERETO"
was read. Motion made by Anderson, seconded by HcGee, that Ordinance No. 376 be declar-
ed to have ha -d its first reading; roll call showed unanimous vote for the motion. -
Motion made by Anderson, seconded by McGee, that proposed Ordinance No. 376
be given its second reading by title; roll call sho,�red all voting for the motion
and the ordinance was thereupon read by title.
MAYOR GRAY APPOINTED H. H. ALEXANDER .�S Chief f of Police <nd motion was made
by HcGee, seconded by Partch, that he be confirmed; moll call showed all voting for
the motion.
Davis called attention to the f,?.e t that the sinking fund had 5315681.85
available for inve s tine nt .
A. H. Combs of Portland was present relative to the gas franchise, but
left without addressing the council, stating that he would be available if the council
wished to take up any features of the proposed ordi na.ne e r -ii t h him.
SPECIAL LIGHT COI.2.-JITTEE : The mayor announced the appointment of Davis,
Meyer and Partch, as a special committee to look afater the matter of rehabilitating
the city lights. -
I:Iotion made by I-IcGee, seconded by Anderson, that Wirth be given all committee
assignments formerly held by Dr. Wayde; roll call ordered and showed following votes:
Ayes, Anderson, IaICGee, Partch, Meyer, Sarggnt, Wirth; Noes, Davis.
I,IcGee, MULYOR PRO TEH: I,Iotion made by Anderson, seconded by 'Wirth, that
McGee be elected Hayo-r Pro Tem; roll call shored motion prevailing 5 to 2 as follows:
Ayes, Anderson, Partch, LIeyer, Sargent and tiTirth ; Noes, Davis and HcGee.
SFECIAL GAS C0111vIITTEE: The mayor appointed the follo,,ring to act as a
special committee to go over the proposed gas franchise ordinance: Davis, I.Icyer & I'Virth.
Motion made by IJICGee, seconded by Partch, that the cemetery sexton be granted
15 gallons gasoline per month; motion carzied five 'to two on roll call, as follows:
Ayes, Anderson, T.IcGce, Partch, Meyer and :Iirth, Noes, Davis and Sargent.
