Regular Session _ January 15th, 1929.
POLL CALL: Council met in regular session with following members present:
Mayor Gray,- Councilmen Anderson, Davis, Partch,, Sargent; Stringham and Wayde; absentees:
I4IcGee.
11INUTES OF 11EETING HELD HANUARY 2nd, were read and approved.
CLAIMS AGAINST CURRENT EXPENSE : Following bill of the P. P. & L. Co. for
lights was read and ordered paid on motion made by Anderson, seconded by YMayde, roll call
showing unanimous vote for the motion: .
Warrant r7480, P. P. &-Mo., Street lights, etc., 310.11
VACATION OF SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 25, RIVERSIDE ADDI'TION': Cormnunication read
from C. E. Boatman asking for vacation of the South alley in.Block 25, Riverside Addition
to Pasco; motion made by Anderson, seconded by Stringham, that it be referred to the
Street Committee for investigation and report at the next regular meeting; roll call
shoved unanimous vote for the mot -ion.
J. J. 1�,'ills wrote the council protesting against a bill of $10.00 for
water rendered against him for December; referred to Claims Committee; upon motion made
by Anderson and seconded by Partch, the roll call indicating unanimous vote for the motion.
Auditing Committee in a written reportu± advised that council that there
was $23,297.44 cash on hand in the ci tj treasury which should be invested to benefit
the various sinking funds to which they belonged.- No action taken.
PARK BOARD APPO IN T1,1ENTS : Geo. Sanderson was reappointed to a three year
term on tiie Park Board and -P. C. ?Meyer was appointed to fill the unexpired term of one
year on that board caused by 'the resi~nation of I1il. D. Devereaux; motion made by Davis,
seconded by .Stringham, that these appointments by tlhe mayor be confirmed; roll call
showed all voting for the motion.

Report of Dater I1anager Moretz was read, showing earnings of $1329.09
for December and motion was made by Axderson, seconded by Vayde, that -report be accepted
and placed on file; motion carried (viva voca).
Report of City Clerk and tre.asi=er was -passed around.
- Relative to license application of Cyril Wilcox, Police Committee thru
Anderson, asked that their report be held ove"r until the next meeting.
REVOLVII'IG FUND FOR PARK: Ila.tter of revolving fund for Park Board brought
up and was referred to Park Committee upon motion made by Davis, seconded by Anderson.
roll call showing all voting for the motion.
1,1. H. 'TAYLOR WAS NAIED AS CHIEF OF POLICE BY IJUYOR GRAY; motion made by
Davis, seconded by Sargent, that the matter be referred to the Police Committee to
report on at the next regular meeting. Roll call shoed unanimous vote for the motion.
ADJOURITIE,NT : Motion made by Anderson, seconded by Stringham that the
meeting adjourn; motion carried.
