Smith pre- siding in the absence of IJayor Gray. On account of city election. board occupying the city council chambers, the meeting was held in' the water office. Present were Councilmen Davis, Pyles, McGee,, C. H. Smith and Wayde; absentees were Mayor Gray, Councilmen Hays and D. E. Smith. I:Iotion made by Davis, seconded by ;7ayde, that the regular order of business be dispensed with with the exception of bills and communications; motion carried viva voca. Communication xxgzx read from American Legion relative to meeting in regard to a swimming pool to be held that evening and asking that a representative of the city be in attendance; ordered placed on file.
