Special Session September 12th, 1928.

Councilmen Davis, IvIcGee, C. H. Smith and, 1Vayde'.
TRII.11ING BUDGET:' 'Ther cause for tho'-special meeting being the consideration
of the:budget-for the--year.1929, the council devoted the evening to'its consideration.
The -assessed valuation of the city for this year 'was . repor ted ' as only c' 1, 722, 338. as -
compared' with �1, 782,153 for' 1927.' The tentative figi±ses agreed-upoii were-.a.s' fo.11ows
For Current'ExTpense, Parks, etc., .15 mill levy to field approx. $ 25835.;07
For library, 2 " 1' 11 ' " 3444;68
For bonds and interest, 4 " 1T r; " 6889.35'
Estimated receipts for current expense, were reduced'to{,3750:00:-
Estimated receipts for bonds from investments was shown as 0748.35

As a.moluit submitted in. preliminary budget was for y51818.17, it will apparently be
necessary to trim budget approximately $11150.72;.
AD JOURIM ITIL :
After actztting x;)2800.00 from the figures, motion was made by McGee, seconded by
C. H. Smith, that the meeting adjourn.

"NO QUORM111: Following members of council were' present but as no quorum
appeared, meeting was adjourned to'inuesday, September 25th: Iiayor Gray, Councilmen
Davis, C.H. Smith and Wayde; after members of the council had left, Council: -Lien
11cGee appeared, but too late to enable session of council to be called. Councilmen
Hays and Pyles were reported as being sick.
