Pyles introduced a letter from Cluude H. 'X oberts,zfr.. of Portland, . ma.I<ing a. price
of 431476.80 for spreading two cars of oil on the streets, one application -to be made Augi-Lst
13th and a second application August 26th; this oil* was to be used outside of tne 13 ft. strip
on Tenth Ave. and Lewis 3t. to be oiled by'the Sta.ue and any oil remaining was to be applied-
on

REFUND OF LOVE LICE.ITSE FEE: Communication .read from jas. Love, ashing for a
refund of his license fee, as he had gone. out of 'business; Council discussed the matter
and decided that he had no refund coning, as 'his -restaurant had been.in operation since
truly lst, the beginning of t', -e license period.

McGee submitted an application for one of his renters, label Coleman to conduct a
rooming house, togetlhe-r with check to cover license fee; 46w license was granted
by council that evening. Next day, 1L -r, 1.1cGee notified the ci 'y clerk to hold up
the check, as Lrs. Coleman was moving. Check i7as hell up 'and matter brought to the
a•t-��ention of the council. Hays moved, seconded by ilayde, khat the 435.00 checl� be -refqEzded
to 1.Ir. M Gee; roll call ordered and sho-vied folloviing results: Lyos, Davis, Hays,

Fire Conr4ittee, that previous prices quoted covered „blanket insrance" for the
