DEVEREAUX RESIGNED FROlil PARK BOARD: The resignation of ,.r. D. Devereaux as a member of the Park Board was read; motion rnade by Hays, seconded by Pyles, that the resignation be accepted; upon roll call, all voted for the motion. Conumunlication read from Iff. Butler, Commissioner of Finance of Spokane, about cities receiving from the state a share of the license and ga olive taxes; motion made by McGee, seconded by Hays, that it be referred to the Street & Alley Committee.- motion carried, roll call showing all voting ,in favor of same. Davis reported on oiling of Fourth St., having L.ttended a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Highway Committee: he stated that there was a, possibility that the state would oil Fourth St. (State goad Ito. 11) using any money left after oiling between Pasco end 1alla Walla. Hlotion mode by :Davis, seconded by Smith, that the City Clerk communicate with the ate Highway Dept. for permission for a. temporary oiling of 4th Street, to eliminate the dust nuisance.
