seconded by Davis were ordered paid along with -the foregoing; roll call ordered and showed
all voting for the motion.
CLAIMS AGAINST SYLVES'IER PARK TRUST FUND: Following claims against the
Sylvester Park Trust Iund were read and motion made by Pyles, seconded by Smith, khat they
be paid; upon roll call, there was a unanimou vote for the motion:

pool paid from -revolving fund 56.72
CUIvRWITICATIONS: Commuhication read from Park Board asking that 4the y be
furnished with a power lawn mower; motion made- by Pyles, seconded by C. Hi. Smith, that the
matter be referred to the Parrs Co--miittee; . upon roll call, all voted for the motion.
Report of Police Judge for April read, shoeing fines of ?105.00 collected;
motion mode by Smith, seconded by Pyles, that report be accepted and placed. on file; roll
call showed unanimons vote for the motion.
Councilman 1,IcGee entered the c oune it cha:mber at this point.
Matter of license plates, or tags for trucks was discussed and ict. clerk was
informally instructed that when receiving applications for truck licenses for the coming
year, he was_ to have the applicants furnish their state license numbers for truce to be
covered by license and state license number to be shown on city license; Chief of
Police was to be advised as to state licenses numbers on trucks carrying city licenses.

sale of same., fixing the price thereof and providing a method. of collecting rates
therefor, rules and -regulations and providing penalties for the violation of this
ordinance"having passed its third -reading April 17th, was taken up for final action.
I.Totion was made by Pyles, seconded by Davis, that Ordinance r371 be adopted; the
mayor ordered a roll call and all voted in favor of the motion.
Davis stared that eater Dept. wanted copies of the ordinance in circular form
and motion was thereupon made by Smith, seconded by I:IcGee, that the dater Committee
be authorized to have 2000 copies of the crater ordinance in pamphlet form printed;
upon roll call, all voted for the motion.
Davis brought up the matter of overexpenditure by the Parks Dept. in 1927
and moved that the deficit of 5101.74,be charged off the 1928 budget; motion seconded
by Pyles and upon roll call was carried by unanimous vote.
Residents in the vicinity of 12th and Ulark atreets having petitioned a long
ti.Me.ago for a hydrant at that point, and the matter again being brought up, a,motion
was made by 1:IcGee, seconded by Pyles, that the fiiatter be referred to the hater Com-
mittee with power to act. Upon roll call•, motion was carried by a unanimous vote.
Blueprints were exhibited showing proposed 'rehabilitation of the cluster
light system received. from the ilepage I:icRenny yo,. and Councilman Davis asked the
co-operation of the balance of the council in trying,to find some method of
financing it. . . I
