Regular Session _ April 3rd, 1928.
ROLL CALL: The city council met in regular, session with Mayor Pro 'Tem C. 11.
Smith presiding in the absence of Mayor Gray, reported sick. Present were Cotuicii_
men h Ys, tic Gee, Pyles and C. H. Smith; absentees were I.iayor Gray, Councilmen Davis,
D. E. Smith '(on leave of absence) and Yayde.

CITY ATTOZdTEY SWANITER REPORTED THAT THE CASE AGAIFST THE -1 BONDING C0111PANY IN
the matter of warrants from Franklin County Irrigation District Ido. 1, had been
set for trial in June' but that if the former council'had no knowledge of city
funds being invested in the warrants, the'Bonding Co. would probably make an
settlement of the case.
Clerk brought up matter of Columbia Street Sidewalk, no ordinance covering
sane having been brought in and city attorney said that if the council intended
to build the additional walk desired there, ordinance could be made to cover the
entire walk; no formal action was taken, altho council seemed inclined to have
the additional walk (approx. 200 ft.) built when money is available.
ROBERT CHESHIRE WAS APPOINTED BY I.LAYOR GRAVAS POLICE JUDGE; motion made
by'McGee, seconded by Nays, that action on the appointment be deferred until the next
regular meeting, when it would come up under the head'of unfini,�hed business;
upon roll call, all voted for the motion.
RAY HICHS 1,VAS APPOIE ED AS CHIEF OF POLICE BY M YOR GRAY and motion was made
by Hays, seconded by .�y1es, that action on the appointment be deferred until the
next regular neeting, when it Mould come up under the head of unfinished business;
upon roll calf., all voted in favor of the motion.
PASCO PILOTS GRA1,TTED LICEME 1YOR CAIUII-TAL: ' A request having been made
by the ra.sco Pilots, that the city grant a license for the operation_ of a carnival
in connection with the air mail celebration on April 14th, motion was duly made by
PuTles, seconded 'by nays,, that the Pasco Pilots, a'local organization'a.uxiliary to
the chamber of Cori�merce,,' be granted a license to conduct a carnival from April 9th
to April 14th inclusive without charge, for the purl-ose of raisiAg money to
defray expenses in connection with epi Air b -Tail celebration. Upon roll call, all
voted for the ',motion,
Pyles brought up the matter of disposing of the old truck owned by the
city vrhich had not 'been used for three or more .years and was .granted informal
authority by the council to sell the truck at the best figure obtainable.

ADJOURN11ENT: Motion made by MfcGee, seconded by -tyles, that the ipeeting
adjourn; motion carried.
