Communication read from Crane Co. relative to Barton pump desired by Street
Dept. in connection with cleaning sewers; matter referred to Street Dept.
LICENSES: Application form license to conduct the Celilo Hotel, made by
M?s. P. P. Fitzpatrick.was read; motion made by Pyles, seconded by C. H. Smith that
license be granted and upon roll call, all voted in favor of the motion. .
REPORTS OF COI!211ITTEES: "Water Committee reported thru Chairman Davis, that
in investigating the bill of I:Irs. Rosencrantz, tf�iey could find n� no reason or good
excuse for cancelling the bill against her. I.=iotion made by C. H. Smith, seconded by
Pyles. that the report be accepted; motion carried.
Police Committee reported they were not yet ready to report on revised
Traffic Ordinance.

Relative to heating plant at City Hall, Hays reported that the Public
Bldg. Cormizittee had an engineer investigating and he would make a further report next
meeting.
FRANKLING IRRIGATION DISTRICT CLAIIJ, ETC. Special cormiittee which
had been appointed at the last meeting to consider the ways out of the trouble with
Franklin County Irrigation District and the irrigation district warrants purchased by
a former treasurer, stated they were not yet ready to report.
Report of Poliee Judge read and placed on file.
Relative to WATER HYDRANT AT BEECH & HELENA STREETS,' Wafter Committee
stated they wanted to have hydrant half a block lest at about the alley; I.Ir. Thpmpson,�
one of the signers of the petition for the hydrant,', however, addressed the council'asking
that hydrant be placed at point originally sz�;gested. ?Notion then made by Davis,
seconded by INcGee, that the dater C._)mmittee continue their investigation as to proper
location of hydrant. Upon roll ca111,' all voted for the motion.

RESOLUTION SUBMITTED BY THE COU11CIL AT THE LAST IEETITIG ASKING' THAT THE
q POLICE DEPT. I:TATTERS BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION was returned to the Police Committee
r by the Ilayor unsigned with the statement that he believed the' 1 avis would not permit
hire to sign the resolution as the sole power for appointments was vested in hi t.
Councilman Davis,' who had been delegated to attend the Good Roads Convention at
Longview, made a report on the convention.
