ROLL CALL: The city council met in special session with following members present: Iilayor Gray, Councilmen Davis, Hays, le Gee, Pyles, C. H�! Smith, 'D.E. Smith andcayde.. REVISED TRAFFIC. OB,DIIdAHCE CONSIDERED: The council proceeded with consid- eration of a revised traffic ordinance. Question arose as to adviseability of leaving space before hotels on Fourth Street. l:lotionYvas made by Davis, seconded by D.. E. Smith that space 10 ft. wide and marked "No Parking" be left in front of the Hotel Pasco and Peneews for loading and unloading passengers and baggage. Upon roll call, motion carried 4 to 3 as follows: Ayes, Davis, Hays, D. E. Smith and 'i'�ayde; Noes, McGee, Pyles, C.H.Smith. After discussing "U" turns at 4th and Lewis,, Pyles moved, seconded by McGee, that no "U" turn restrictions in the city of Pasco be inserted in the new ordinance. Upon roll call, motion lost 4 to three, as folloirls : Ayes, M111cGee, Pyles and, C. H. Smith; Noes, Davis, 'Hays, �D. If. Smith and tlayde. T:lotion v7as thereupon made by Davis,, seconded by Hays, that there be "U" turn restrictions placed at Levis & 4th Streets; motion carried upon roll call 4 to 3, as follows: Ayes,' Davis;' Hays;- D. E. Smith and Wayde; Noes, 1VIcGee, Pyles and C. H. Smith. STANDARD NO PARKING AREAS: It was decided that all "No Parking" areas would have the curb painted yellow, with the ,rords "Ido Parking" stencilled in black letters four inches high. DELEGATE SENT TO GOOD ROADS I;TEETIIvG AT LONGVIEiI: !,lotion titras, made by Pyles, seconded by C'. H. Smiths' a that a delegate be sent to the "Good Roads". Convention at Longview, Sept. 30th and. Oct. 1st; motion carried 5 to 2 as follows, upon roll call: Ayes, Davis, Pyles,, C. H. Smith, D. E. Smith and Wayde; Noes, Hays and PIZcGee. Mayor Gray thereupon announced C. S. Davis as his selection fordelegate. C. H. Smith asked the mayor if he had decided anything in regard to the resolution presented at the last meeting and I:iayo-r Gmay stated that he was giving the matter very thorough study and vas not yet in a position to say anything, al- though he hoped to, say something at the next regular meeting. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Hays, seconded by D. E. Smith, that the meeting adjourn until the special meeting called for Thursday, Sept. 29th; motion prevailed. BUDGET FOR 1928 CONSIDERED: The meeting having been called for work on the budget for the year 1928, the council agreed on a number of items but left final consideration of the budget to the meeting to be held Ivlonday,' October 3rd. The assessed valuation of Pasco was given as 1,783,293.00 as compared to $1,811,000.00 last year. ADJOURITIvICi NT: !:lotion made by D. E. Smith, seconded by C. H. CITY OF PASCO . Special Session _ October 3rd, 1927. ROLL CALL 4. Pursuant, to agreement• at the last -regular meeting thm and in accordance with the laws governing, the city council met for the purpose of adopting a budget for the year 1928. Upon roll call; following member: were present: ?:Mayor Gray, Councilmen Davis , Hays, Pyles, C. H. Smith, D. E. Smith and layde ; absent, S. I3. ;:McGee. ADOPTION OF BUDGET FOR YEAR 1928: After thorough consideration and conferences of ±a representatives of various departments, a budget was drawn up -for adoption. I;iotion made ' by C.- H. Smith, seconded by Hayti, that a 171 mill levy be made to,provide•�31207'62-for current expense, library and parks for the year 1928; upon roll call, all voted for the motion. 1lotion made by C. H. Smith, seconded by Hays that a four mill levy be made.to yield $7133.17 fo' care for city hall, rebonds and interest on the same; upon roll call, all voted for the motion. It was tmderstood that this ai:.qount v-ias to be srlit as follows: City hall bonds, 3857.00 Redemption bonds 264.17 Interest, City Hall B:�nds 1500:00 N Redemption t' 1512.00 WATER DEPT. BUDGET: There never having been a budget -created for the ° Water Dept.,, one was presented sufficiently high to tape care of any unforeseen erlergen_ cies. Hotion made by Pyles, seconded by D. E. Smith-, that the `later Dept. Budget of 038474.00 be adopted as presented. Upon -roll call, all voted for the mo tion. I;Iotion ;made by Pyles, seconded by Hays, that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare necessary ordinance adopting the budgets for the city's Current Expense and Clater Dept. funds. Upon roll call all voted for the motion. ADJOURIP,21TT : Motion made by Hays,' Seco nddd by D. E. Smith that the meeting adjounn; motion carried.
