Regular Session, June 7th, 1927.
ROLL CALL The city council met in regular session with fo.11o,wing members
present: 1dayor Gray, Councilmen Davis, Hays, HcGee, C.H.Smith and Uayde; absent were
Pyles and D.E.Smith.

C OE111UNI CAT I ONS: Cor-;munication received from Chiof Taylor calling attention to
the fact that.vrhile he had been cut in salary when off some time ago, others were not;
no action taken.
LICENSES: License application., being received from Geo. T. Austin to conduct
a pool room, July 1st, 1927 to June 30th, 1928 and from H. W. Peck to conduct the
Pasco Hotel Cafe Feb. lst, to June 30th, 1927, motion was made by Hays, seconded by C.
H. Smith, that the licenses be granted; upon roll call, all voted for the motion.
Hays of the Public Building Committee reported regarding the roof of the
city hAll and was given until next meeting to investigate what repairs would be needed
and their cost. .
Councilman Pyles entered and was marked as being present. .
Report of Police Judge t`,'arden vias read; motion madd by C. H. Smith, seconded
by 17ayde, that the report be accepted and placed on file. Carried.

ORDINANCE No. 364, BEING IIAN ORDIII�ITCE RELITING TO LICENSES REGULATING CERTAIN
OCCUPATIONS, TRADES AITD LINES. OF BUSINESS CARRIED ON IIT THE CITY OF PASCO AIJD REQUIRING SAI.'IE
TO BE LICENSED AIJD PROVIDING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, ETC." and section 7
relating to circuses and carnivals as revised xzx4z was read.
Section 10 relating to Cabs & Drays was discussed, s,s it carried a license fee of
X2.00 per passenger cars had the capacity to carry; motion was thereupon made by Pyles,
seconded by Hays., that this section be changed to read "fifty cents per year" instead of
"two dollars per year". Mayor ordered a roll call with -following result; Ayes, Hays,
McGee, tyles, U. H. Smith, 6rayde; Roes, Davis; carried five to one.
ORDINANCE ADOPTED: 1dotion was made by Pyles, seconded by McGee, that Ordinance
1-364 be adopted as amended; upon roll call motion carried unanimously.

the mayor replied that he had not asked any of his appointees whether they would take
the position but was presenting their names to the council for action. 'The question
being called for, the mayor ordered a roll call with following results: Ayes, McGee and Hays;
Noes, Davis, Pyles, C.H.Smith and i.ayde; motion lost four to two.
The Part; Board having received credit for the pipe salvaged from the Park,• which
was to revert to'the gx= current e_:pense fund to offset their expenditure in 1926 of 0368.34
in excess of their budget, Davis moved and McGee seconded the motion, that the clerk charge
5rp'368..34 off the budget allowance of the .Park Board for 1927 and notify the Part; Board of the
action; upon roll call. all voted for the motion.

discussion and hearing from manufacturer's representatives present, I,;IcGee presented the
following motion, which was seconded by Smith: "THat we hold in abeyance the purchase of
rock crusher equipment until a future date, also all ordinances relative thereto, that all
bids be placed on file for future reference and all certified checks be returned to the bidders
and when this equipment is considered, the present bidder: will be notified." The mayor
ordered a roll call with following result: Ayes, Davis, Hays, McGee, Smith and Wayde;
Noes, tyles; carried five to one.
