Brown appeared before the council and sta ted that he vaould place a rock crushing plant in operation and sell the city crushed rock at 90 cents per yard and that he ,could expect the city to take at least 1000 yds. per year. ?`I -r. Baker of the Olympic 1.1172,chinerV CO-., Spokane, advised that he viould furnish the city with a -rock crushing plant for 2954.86, terns being 41600.00 down and the balance payable next year; that the price of the plo-nt wi-th st ationa ryt power would be ''3454.66. Mx. Wolvin of the General Ha•chinery Co., Spokane, presented his proposition n=or a i- amine t' coot approximately 1`34-00.00 REPORT OF WATER CO} ;IITTEE t:BOUT CONDITiONS OIT 12TH STIREET: During the discussion of the rock Crusher} proposition, the later Committee stated that they were am—cions to report before ad journr_:ent. Mayor - — ROLL CALL: The City Council met in adjourned session from meeting of larch 15th with following members present: • Mayor Gray, Councilmen Hays, McGee, Pyles, C.R.Smith, D.E.Smith and Wayde; absent Davis (reported sick) . , TREASURER'S R.EVOLVIEG FUND NOT RI IABURSED JOR ITEM OF 114.00 ACCOUNT PRINTIYG BILL OF FORT,73,R MAYOR JENSEN: The matter of Hrs. E,rehe's letter was brought before the council, she having asked the council to reconsider their previous action and reimburse her revolving fund. Hotion'ma:de by Pyles, seconded by McGee, that the matter be laid on the tale; motion carried. PROPOSED PURCHASE OF ROCK CRUSHER: At the request of the council, State Examiner ( Wesley Smith suggested two methods in which the purchase of a rock crusher could be _ one thru a bond issue of $3500.00, which the city could buy, thereby providing y an investment for some of the sinking funds; the other method would be by issuing emergency warrants, these warrants to be Marked as "Eme-rgency Warrants" and to be provided for in the 1929 budget. By use -of the bond method, the payments back into the city treasurer could be spread out over a period of several years and '.Mould not tend to reduce the budget allowance for maintenance purposes. A motion was thereupon made by Pyles; seconded by (lays, that the City' ttorney be instructed to bring in an emergency ordinance, declaring an emergency of .'3000.00ex_ isted, due to the acquisition of a rock crushing plant and site complete.
