held January 18th were read and approved.

insurdnce policies Nos. C_23260 and 839.; the fors-er for �WOO.00 and the -letter fpr
51000.00 insurance on the city hall buil-ding; motion made by Pyles, seconded by C. H.
smith, -that the policies be accepted. rcIayor ordered a roll call and all voted in favor
of the motion.
ITdSURi1ITCE CARRIED ON CITY HALL: Discussion by the c oun.c it of insurance
brought out the fact that the cle-rrr had been able to locate insurance carried on the
city hall amounting to 5>5000.00 and on contents of the city hall x;32000.00; he advised
that the policies were not in his h1ands, having never been turned over to him and that
the forirer city clerk had informed hint that they were not turned over to hire and tivere
probably in the vaults at the First TTationa.l Bank. !,,.lotion was thereupon made by
Pyles, seconded by C. K. Smith, that the mutter be turned over to the Public Building
Coi-imiittee to investigate and report at the next meeting. Roll call showed all voting
in favor of the motion.
Letter from H. ? arden enclosing his bond as -Police Judge, properly OK'd by
City Attorney was read and ordered filed.
Communication from the Northwestern Fire Apparatus Co. relative to fire
hose testing pump ,,-ras placed on file upo:6 motion made by C. H. Si:iith, seconded by Pyles.
Application from 1-rs. 11elia Smith for position of janitor of city hall .ras
read; motion made by Pyles, seconded by Davis, than co n-uuaication be filed. Carried.
Coiriinnicaation from J. C. Hubbell, Chairman of Co.rmnittee on Revenue & Taxation,
of the state House of Representatives was read in vrThich he asked for infor-,ntion regard-

Committee, & License Comittee, reading as follows:
T1u"1?IEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco -to have
all licenses issued by the City o,f' Pasco in future e-pire uniformly on June 30th of each
year as provided by Ordinance No. 288 and
"WHEREAS to accomplish this, it will_ be necessary for the City Clerk to ;:cake
proper adjustments in amounts charged for such licenses,

Public Property Committee reL ort:ed that in the Tric.tter of adding machine for tlae
Treasurer,, they were not yet ready to report.
The Judiciary Committee reported as their recoruiienlat.ion in the matter of
putting city ordinances ill SlIG!'�e, that the ci i; clerk, get a co�aplete file of ordinances,
that he be instructed to purchase a supply of paper of the kind used in writing up those
already in the book and that these be turned over to the City '-tto-rney for completion.
City Attorney is to be authorized to er ploy aa. stenographer to ;-Trite up ordinances so
that: a11_ city books will be corplete and that, he is to complete therork of cross filing
by 'Tma.�ginal references*,' all ordinances in a,ll books. I:iotion eras trhereupon made by

to go ahead with the work in line with the recommendation of the committee; roll call

The Street c: Alley Committee reported that hogpen mainta-ined by Andy 11artell was
Still in the middle of the Street and Street: Superintendent was instructed to heave it
removed'.
Davis reported on meeting the Auditing Committee, had Jan. 31st with the Library
Board and 1.1ayor and that the Library Board had arranged to adjust the over_e_�-penditure
last yeas by paying the city 'x140.00 from their fin money and the b, lance to be deducted
from their 1927 budget.

Boa rd addressed the council, asking for their co-operation in the mo,.tte-r of additional
water., lights, etc.,::.nd € lso pointed out the• fo-,ct that she had to hire -day labor
and had no -ready money a.vailc ale with -uhich to. pay off 7 -,,,en ahose services proved tian—
satisfactory. She suggested that a revolving fund be placed at her disposal_ to
take care of .this, as well as freight and other miscella.ileous charges. I:Iotion
was thereupon made by C. H. Snith, seconded by Pyles, that the Chairman of -the Park
Board be granted a revolving fund of 4200.00 per month and that the Chairm n of the
Parti Board be bonded for that amount: with either a surety or property bond. Upon

Chairman of the Water Committee reported that a suitable building for the ',T(:.ter
Dept:., sufficient for their needs for a long time, could be purchased at the present
time for ;)1800.00, altho after I,Iarch ist, the -[):,.-ice mould be ',>2000.00; this is a
building on Tacoma -St. Ho action taken.

and that it was in -need of repairs. - I.Iotion made by McGee, seconded by C. H. Smith
that the Building Cor_c�nittee be instructed to visit the dwelling of the pnu-aper and
