MIIIUTES READ&: APPROVED: 11inutes 'of the regalar meeting held December 21st and the adjourned session of December 30th were read and approved. CURRENT EXPENSE CLAIIJS : Following claims amounting to 0398.63 were read and motion made by Hayes, seconded by 1..IcGee that the bills be allowed ard warrants drawn for the same; the mayor ordered a roll call andall voted in favor of the motion. Street Superintendent Anderson made aa report covering inventory of tools and equipment on hand to be turned over to new Street Commissioner. ITEVI COUNCIL'S SESSION: ROLL CALL: The new city council was called to order by I,iayor Gray and roll called shouted following present: Davis, Hays, I:IcGee, Tyles, C. H. Smith, D. E. Smith, rrayde . BOYDS OF NEIff OFFICERS: City Attorney -reported that bonds furnished by City Treasurer and Uity Attorney were OK. City Clerk submitted letter from the bonding company that his old bond was in effect and that a new bond was being sent from the headquarters of the bonding eomp,.ny for the year 1927. OATHS OF OFFICES: City Clerk- -reported that all elective officers had signed oaths of office. APPOIITTI,11,1ITTS OF NEM OFFICERS, ETC. T:Iayor Gray stated he wished to appoint U. E. Quinlan as Police judge; motion made by Hays, seconded by McGee that the council confirm the appointment. Motion made by Hays, seconded by McGee, that the cou-ncil recess for ten minutes; motion carried. Daring the -recess the mayor and council tailed over,various prospective appointees but apparently without coming to a definite understanding, as Then 1dayor Gray called the council to order again, he stated that he would hold the balance of appointi:.ents in abeyance until neat meeting and that a motion to adjoumn was in order.
