ROLL CALL: The City Council met in regular session with following members
present: I,ayor Jensen, Councilmen Anderson, Hays, IIcGee, O'Herin, Robbins and
Smith.
Ir1I1gUTES DEAD & APPROVED: Minutes of the regular session held October 5th -nd
special meeting held Ojo�y r.4th were reed. Mayor Jensen' announced that motion
made for the adoption __, dinance Ylo.360 a.t the meeting of Oct. 5th was lost.

CUR NT "EXPENSE C34111S : Bill of Union ' Oil Coo, No. 5659) was
read upon request of_Councilman'Robbins. Ilotion made by Anderson;' seconded by
Robbins that upon receipt of a -corrected bill from the Union Oil Co., rrith'
the Purchasing Agent's -requisition attached, that the City Clerk be authorized
to issue a warrant for the same. Upon roll call, all voted in.lfavor. of the motion.
COT-2-;IUNICATIONS: Lotter from Mrs. 1,11. B. Smith claiming y 25.00 damages was referred
to theClaims Committee.
Letter of -resignation from D. C. Gibbs as Building Inspector was read;
upon motion by Hays, seconded by Anderson, resignation was accepted and letter
ordered placed on file.
PETITION OF J. W. ASHTON, ET AL, ASKIEG FOR ARC LIGHTS ON FRONT STREET: Councilman
Robbins stated that in his opinion three lights were needed on that street.
Motion made by Hays, seconded by Anderson, that the Pacific.Power & Light Co. be
instructed to place lights on Front Street as instructed by the Nhairman of
the Street El. Water Committee. Carried unanimously upon roll call.
REPORTS OF C012,1ITTEES: lWater Committee reported that it would cost about �11P100.00
to install a fire hydrant at 12th & Clark Streets in accordance with petition of D.
E. Smith, et al, and that theyhwould prefer to have the council act on the matter.
11otior_ made by O'Herin, seconded by McGee, that action on the installation of the
hydrant be withheld until the next regular meeting. LIotion carried.
Mayor Jensen called attention to the condition in Riverside Addition and
asked the Water Committee'to look into the matter with a view to installing
hydrants in that locality.
Water Committee reported on matter of letter received from !.Lrs. A. B. Peck
and upon motion by Hays, seconded by Ik.IcGee, letter was placed on file
Report of the City Treasurer for month of September was ordered placed on file.

ORDINANCE NO. 36LD/t,;AS READ; motion made by O'Herin, seconded bj Anderson, that
ordinance be declared to have had its first reading. Roll call showed unanimous
vote in favor of the motion.
14;iotion by Hays, seconded by Smith, that the ordinance be declared to have had
its second reading by title. Upon roll call, all voted in favor of the motion.
APPLICATIONS: Application of Mabel Coleman for a license deo conduct a room house
was read; upon motion by Robbins, seconded by McGee, mayor ordered a roll call;
all voted in favor of the motion.
CITY ELECTION OFFICIALS: Councilman Robbins presented the following list of
election officials as the choice of the council: Precinct No. 1: Mrs. I;I. g: Gray
Johnson, ldrs. Mercer and Mrs. J. A. Rolison. Precinct No. 2: John Gannon, °
1,Jrs . McLaughlin and I-. rs . Hicks. Precinct No. 3: 41. 1.1. Hayle tt, 11rs . I+;Iinkie _
witz and I:,Irs. J. A. Shupe. Precinct No. 4: Mrs. Pratt, Ambrose Barnes and
Mrs. John Hays Jr. Precinct No. 5: ,.I-rs. ' Ba.nnerman, rsrs. Geo. Goodman and
Mrs. P. C. Meyer. IJotion made by Robbins, duly seconded by O'Herin, that
the above list be appointed to serve for the Primary Election; upon roll call,
motion carried unanimously and clerk was ordered to notify them. °
As alternates, the following were named.: 1+1rs. G. C• Routt, D. R. Rear-
don, A. F. 1,11iehe, C. 11. Barr and IJrs. Devereaux. Motion made by OTHerin, seconded
by Robbins, that above name& be accepted by the council as alternates if those
appointed as officials could not serve- Motion carried.
EXCESS EXPENDITURES: Motion made by OTHerin, duly seconded by Anderson, that a
committee be appointed to find out what monies have been spent from the various
departments that was unforeseen in preparing the budget for the year 1926 and
submit their findings to the City Attorney, who will prepare an emergency ordinance
with a. view of reimbursing the various departments xk±kx for the money so spent.
Mayor called for a roll call and this resulted in a unanimous vote in favor of the
motion. I.1ayor Jensen thereupon appointed the Finance Committee to handle the
matter.
