REGULAR SESSION
April 20. 1926.
ROLL CALL:
THE City Council* met in Regular Session with the following members present, _
Mayor Jensen, Councilmen Hayes., - Kc Gee, O'Herin, Pyles, " Robbins and Smith„ , Absent,
Anderson.

On motion by Hayes duly seconded by Smith that the above claims be allow6d, the Mayor
directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Hayes, McGee'.O'Herin, Pyles, Robbins and Smtih.

From R. B. McFarland, Water Manager, dated April loth, 1926, re. City mater
Collections and the matter of turning the handling of water rentals, etc. to -the City
Treasurer was read,; and on motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that the communication
be turned over to the Water Committee with instructions to try to negotiate with the
City Treasurer, with a view of -bringing about better conditions, submitting a report at
the next regular meeting of the Uity council, the Itiayor directed a Roll Ca11.Ayes, Hayes;;
O'Herin Pyles, and Smith. No's. Mc4ee and Robbins.
MOTION TO IiECONSIDER THE ,ABOVE ACTION:
On motion by Q'Herin: duly s6conded by Hayes that we reconsider the above motion,
the Mayor directed a ROLL CALL . Ayes,q Axdezaan Hayes; 1,ic Ge e , O'Herin, Robbins and Smith,
No's Pyles.
COTJIPIIUNICATION: (Petition to Oil CERTAIN Streets)

A Petition to oil Lewis Street from 4th to 10th and 10th to Bridge Sts, was
read and referred to tln, Street Committee. ( Hayes )
PETI TION BY EAST RIyERSIIIE WATER USERS:
A Petition signed by P.C.schlagel, etal requesting the City to furnish water
f( the East Riverside Water users was read,. and ;referred to the dater Committee to investigate
and report at the next regular meeting of the city "ouncil.

The following report/was filed by the Water Committee (Filed Apr. 20th, 1926,
and by Committee of previous date __next prior to present .nater Committee) was read,-

"The Water Committee hereby recommi ends that the Uit y eater iv anager be authorized
and instructed either in person or by the employees o f his department under his # scretion,
to collect all water charges and -water rentals from all water users of the Pasco municipal
Water System, and to turn over and deliver all sums -so collected;to the City Treasurer, of
the City of Pasco daily.

And, on motion by O'Herin duly seconded by McGee that the report be accepted,
the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Unanimous. (verbal)
PETITION TO CONSTRUCT SIDEVIALSB: (Signed by F.C.3rown, et al.)
A Petition to construct a sidewalk on the north side of uolumbia St., between 5th
and 6th Sts, and on the south side of uolumbia St. between 5th and 6th Sts, was read,
and on motion by O'Herin duly seconded by hayes that the City Attorney be instructed to
take the necessary steps to create a local improvement district for construction, the Idayor
directed a Roll Call. Ayes, lutes;

and the following motion was made in connection therewith:

A Substitute motion was put, and after some discussion the 1,Aayor called for a vote
on "Shall the previous question be put 'and debate cease, Moll , call resulting as follows:
Ayes;McGee, OrHeriLtaR6bbins and Smith, No's. Hayes and Pyles.
SUBSTITUTE MOTION: Re. Removal of Chief of Police)
Substitute motion by O' Herin duly seconded 'by Robb ins_ Jequestirng, that the
matter be submitted to the Police Committee for investigation, . to -report to the council not
later than the next Regular Meeting of the city council, the ?:payor directed a Roll Call,
Ayes;', Hayes; McGee.., 0 x Herin, Pyles, Robbins and Smith.
