.ROLL.CALL:
The City Council met in Regular Seesion with the following members present,
Mayor Jensen, Councilmen Anderson, Hayes, McGee, 0!Herin, Pyles,_Robbins and Smith.
Attorney Davis absent.
MINUTES:' APPROVED :
The minutes of the previous session were read and approved as read.
CLAIMS ALLOWED:
On motion by Hayes duly seconded by Anderson that the claim of the Union
Oil Co. $205.40,(Water Warrant #74 and C.E. Wt.4770) be allowed, the Mayor'directed
a Roll 6 -all. Ayee, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin, Pyles, Robbins and Smith.
On motion by PyleLs duly seconded by Hayes that the claim of R.B.McFarland,
$25.00, City's"share of expenses to Good Roads Conventidn be allowed, the Mayor direct
ed a Roll Call.. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin, Pyles, Robbins and Smith.
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Anderson that the claimsof the Pacific
Power & Light Co., $13.00 City Hall lights, T�266.90 Street lights be allowed, the
Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin, Pyles, Robbins,
and Smith.,
hIedical Aid and Ind. Ins.-, 0. E. and Water Dept. $43.53 and $15.52,
respectively, for months May, June, July and Aug., 1925 were paid.
COIQJIIUN ICAT IONS:
A Communication from the Mayor to the City Council relative to his veto
of Ordinance'#355 repealing the Police Ordinance was read, and ondered-plac•ed on file,
by the Mayor.
REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE on the investigation of charges of
Mayor against Chief of Police,'signed by Councilmen O'Herin, Hayes, Anderson, Robbins
and McGee was.read, and on motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Anderson that the
report be accepted, the Mayor directed a Roll `Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee
O'Herin and Robbins-. No's. Pyles and Smith:;
WATER RATES FOR BUSINESS HOUSES WITH REFRIGERATION PLANTS:
Councilman O'Herin, chairman of the Water Committee reported on the in-
vestigation of water rates used'on Refrigeration plants, and .:,turned in the fol-
lowing schedule of Water Rates, -

and on motion by O'Herin duly sdconded by Anderson that the report be accepted and
the schedule adopted, the same becoming effective with the September readings,
the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin, Pyles,
Robbins and Smith.
REPORT FINANCE COMMITTEE ON ENGINEER'S ESTIMATES, CASCADE PIPE AND FLUME CO. AND
TIDE CAMPBELL CONSTRUCTION CO. ON NEW CONSTRUCTION WATER SYSTEM;
Councilman Smith, Chairman of the Finance Colamittee reported on the
findings of their checking up of the Engineer's Estimates on the New Construction
of the Water System, advising that the Estimates were found to be correct, and
filed with the City Clerk a complete tabulation of the estimates; and on motion
by O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that the Report be accepted, and the City
Clerk authorized to pay to the Campbell Construction Co.$52.49, a balance on the
Force Account overlooked at the time the Final Estimate (No.4) was made, the
Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin, Pyles, Robbins
and Smith, p.
STREET LIGHT TO BE PLACED AT INTERSECTION OF MAIN AND MARVIN STS.:
A Petition signed by Geo. Sams, et al, dated Feb.9th, 1925, for a street
light at the intersection of Main and I1arvin Sts.. was again brought before the
City aCouncil, and on motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Anderson that such in-
stallation be made, and the City Clerk instructed to notify the Pacific Power and
Light Co. of such action of the Council, the Mayor directed a. Roll Call, Ayes,
Unanimous.
THE MATTER OF THE CITY TAKING OVER GRAYS ADDITION WATER SYSTEM:WAS BROT.BEFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL:
Councilman Pyles brought up the matter of the City taking over the
'Water System of Gray's Addition, explaining the situation of the water users
of that locality, requesting that the City take over the water system, and on
motion by McGee, duly seconded by O'Herin that the matter be referred to the
Water Committee to inveetigate. and report at the next regular meeting, the
Mayor directed a Roll -.Call. Ayes --,Unanimous.
ORDINANCE NO. 356, Repealing Ordinance Deputy City Treas., 3rd. heading.:
Ordinance No. 356, repealing Ord. N. 353, relative to creating a
Deputy City Treasurer, defining the duties, etc. was read for the 3rd. time, and

on motion O'Herin duly seconded Robbins that said Ordinance be declared to have had its
third reading, the Pviayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin
and -Robbins and Smith. Nors Pyles. _.
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Anderson that said Ordinance No. 356
be passed and adopted as read, the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Anderson, Hayes, McGee

ORDINANCE NO. 355'taken up for futher consideration:
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that Ordinance No. 355, relative
to thePolice Department, hiring and discharging of patrolman, etc, be now taken up for
consideration, the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin
and Robbins,. No's. Pyles and Smith. (Carried).
ORDINANCE NO. 355 to be put in force over Mayors veto:
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that Ordinance No. -355 be put into
full force and effect„ over the Mayor's veto-, the Mayor directed a Roll -' Call. Ayes,
Anderson, Hayes, McGee, Oherin and Robbins, No's Pyles and Smith., (Carried)
COMMITTEE TO GET PRICES ON CITY COAL.
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by McGee that a committee consisting of 2,
Smith and Anderson be appointed- to investigate -and -furnish prices on various grades of
coal, file with the City Clerk to bring up at the next Council meeting, the Mayor directed
a Roll Call. Ayes Unanimous.
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR CITY WATER COLLECTOR:
A Resolution providing for a City Water Collector wa s read, and on motion by
O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that the word "Manager" in the fourth paragraph be
changed to read "Water Collector", the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Unanimous.
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR WATER COLLECTOR, AS FOLLOWS:
1119-1EREAS; it is necessary from time to time for the Water Manager to advance money
for the proper operation of the department;
And WHEREAS; the Water Department contemplates handling the water collections,
And WHEREAS; as the Water Collector will be required to make a daily turnover of
receipts to the City Treasurer, and the operation of this department will necessitate
money to be on hand for making change.
Now Therefore, Be it resolved that the City Clerk be and is hereby instructed to
draw a warrant on the Water Department Fund in favor of the City Water Collector in the
suiu of Thirty-five Dollars, ($35.00) and that a copy of this resolution be attached to the
voucher covering said warrant.;

and on motion by0'herin duly seconded by -McGee that said Resolution be passed and adopted
as read, the Mayor directed a Roll Call.- Ayes, Unanimous.
MATER COLLECTOR TO CARRY BOND $1000.00:
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by McGee that the proposed water collector be
required to furnish'a bond in the amount of $1000, the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes,
Unanimous.;
LICENSES GRANTED..
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that the following licenses be granted,
L. Pyles, Soft Drink Parlors, No. 4th. St'.
I. Making, Restaurant, 106 Tacoma St.,
the Mayor directed a Roll -Call. Ayes, Anderson, Hayes, McGee, O'Herin, Pyles, Robbins
and Smith.
5� TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR YEAS 1926, Ordered placed -on file with City Clerk for information
Tax Payers:
RESOLUTION:
"Whereas, the City Council of the City of Pasco met in Regular Session
on Tuesday, the 15th. day of September-, 1925, to consider the Preliminary Budget for the
City of Pasco for the year 1926, and having made such revisions as deemed advisable in
said Budtet ascsubmitted by the City Clerk of the said City of Pasco:.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the said Preliminary Budget so considered
be alnd the same is hereby ordered placed on file for the information of any tax payer
who may call at the office of the City Clerk for information concerning same or for copies
thereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Pasco give due notice
that said Preliminary Budget is on file andthat the City Council will deet Monday, the
5th. -day of October, 1925, at the hour of 8 o'clock at the City Hall in the City of Padco
for the purpose of fixing the final Budget andmaking tax levies in accordance therewith;
that the City Clerk cause such notice to be published once each week for two consecutive
weeks immediately following this resolution;
On motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Smith that said resolution be passed and
adopted as read, the Mayor directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Andersons Hayes, McGee, O'Herin,
Pyles, Robbins and Smith.
