May 19th, 1925.
ROLL CALL :
The City Council met in regular Session with the following members present,
I�'Iayor Jensen:,' Councilmen. Anderson, Mayes,, 11cGee, Pyles, Dobbins,. and Smith. Absent,
Q'Herin, Attorney Davis present.
MINUTES APPR OVED :
The 14inutes of the Previous Session were read and approved as read.
C OMNUMI CATION:
A Comunication signed by 11rs. M. H. Gray Johnson, dated ,,Iay 18th, regarding the
water rates *mI
being too high, requesting a reduction by allowing the same rate as apartment
houses was read, and it was agreed that all the councilmen familiarize themselves with
the circumstances and that the matter be reported on at the next regular session, and if
any 4ustment made the same to be allowed at that time.
CHARLEY MRVIN ET AL APPEARED BEFOI?,E CITY COUNCIL RE, GETTING 1101E IIIATER:
A Committee composed of Charley Marvin et al appeared before the City Council
relative a water shortage in their community, requesting that larger service pipes be
installed, stating that at the present time they w,rere getting scarcely enough for dpmestic
use.
CO1SlIMUICATION FRO11 GEO MOLITOR:
A Communication from George Iiolitor, dated blay llth.;' 1925, requesting that the
City remove the Junk pile, an old red barn, etc, from his locality, was read, and on motion
by Anderson duly seconded by Pyles that the matter be referred to the Public Property*
Committee to handle as they see fit, the Mayor directed a Roll Call, Ayes, Unanimous.

A Communication from the N.P.Ry. Co.,signed by S.J.Shannon,Supt.,, dated May 5th.,;
1925, asking when the City would be ready to furnish water to them, under their Contract
for mater, .was read:; and on the suggestion of Councilman Anderson, the City Clerk was
instructed -to advise the N. P.Ry. Co. that the City will be ready to furnish them water
sometime between the 1st and 10th of June.
CITY TO PURCHASE GaS PUMP:
On motion by Hayes duly seconded by Pyles that the CITY purchase and install a
5 gal.GAS Pump°,'(Boyle & Dayton) , price 0206.00 f.o.b. Seattle, the I,Iayor directed a Roll
Call, Ayes, Unanimous,

On motion by Anderson duly seconded by Robbins that the cost of the Gas pump be
charged equally between the. thre ee Departma nts, -Street, Police and Water, the Mayor

On motion by ANDERSON duly seconded by Robbins. that the claim of JOHN Corbin
$200 for kalsomining and repairing interior City Hall be allowed, the Mayor directed a
Holl Call. Ayes, Unanimous.: (Anderson, Hayes, McGee, Pyles, Robbins and S mith.)

ADDITIONAL VATER DISTRIBUTION LEFT TO 17ATER COIZAITTEE And CONSULTING ENGR.:
The matter DIttaking limited additional water distribution extensions was brow
before the City Council, and on motion by 11cGee daly seconded by Pyles that the same be
handled by the Viater Committee and Engineer IdIurray, the Irlayor directed a Roll Call, Ayes;'
Unanimous.
MATTER OF REDUCING IdUI,BER OF SCHOOL LA17I1 SP ?IMMERS :
It appearing that the number of lawn sprinklers used by the CITY Schools was
exhorbitant, in proportion to the 0ity's water supply for such purposes, it was decided
that the matter be investigated by the hater Iylanagor,� Water Committee and taken up with
the School Board.
ADNOURIUMIT:
On motion by Pyles duly seconded SMITH that the Council adjourn, the Mayor directed
a Roll Call. Ayes, Unanimous.
