present,

The Minutes of the previous Session were read and approved as read.
FETITIONS :
A Petition signedby Geo. Sams, et al for a larger water main on ilarvin St. from
Yront to blain and one block west _-rom Marvin on Lain; also that a Fire Hydrant be installed
on the Corner of 11ain and Tlarvin Sts; also that a Street light be installed at the inter-
section of I:Iain and Marvin Sts., City of Pasco, !Yash., was read and ordered referred to
the ;later Committee by the Llayor.

An Opinion of the City Attorney on the nuunber of Votes required of the City
Council present to transact business of every nature thtt regularly comes before a

(al A Report of the Dater Committee; -recormnending that the City negotiate for the
sale of water to the N.P.Ry. Co., fi-,f:ng the rate for same at 3� per 1000 gallons, and
that a suitable contract bo entered into between the Railroad and the City as to the
.maintenance of the Railroads present plant as an aiuciliary,' etc., was read, and on motion
by O'Herin duly seconded by Pyles that the Mater Commit.,ee be authorized to enter into
an agreement with the Railroad Co: in accordance with the Report submitted, the Ilayor
directed a Roll Call. Ayes, Unanimous.

RESOLUTION I11,0VIDING 20R A DEPUTY CITY TREASUIL&R: TO BE PREPARED:
The City Attorney was instructed to prepare a Resolution -providing for a
Deputy City Treasurer, salary fixed at ,>75 per month, all on motion by O'Herin duly
seconded by I:IcGee, "de:claring that an emergency eists;and that the Deputy Treasurer bw
paid out of the CURRPTTT EXPENSE FU11D, ROLL Call directed by the Mayor, Ayes Unanimous.
RESOLUTIOIT PROVIDING POR A DEPUTY CITY TRI!1ASURER :
J� A Resolution providing for, fixing the salary of, etc. a Deputy City 'Treasurer,
was read, and on motion by O'Herin duly seconded by Hayes that said Resolution be passed
and adopted as -read, the I.Iayor directed a Roll %all. Ayes, Andercon, Hayes, I.IcGee, O'Herin,
Pyles and Smith.
Resolution as follows:
WHEREAS: the laws of the State of 'Jashington, require, that all resourses from
public utilities of Cities of the Third Class Shall be received and collectedby the City
Treasurer -and
THe municipal 17ater System of the City of Pasco involvos the collection
01 :Tater Charges �aiairtin'g the .constant service of a collector- and
1H MAS: the sclrry of the City 'Treasurer of the City of Pasco is 5'I50.00 per
month and said sum is inad%uate compensation for the service required.
TIEREFOR.E : It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Pasco
that the City Treasurer be and uhe is hereby authorized to employ and appoint,, deputy
City Treasurer such a})pointment to be subject, to the ap-proval of the City Council.. And
It is further resolved that the salary of such deputy is hereby fixed and
established at 4'75.00 per month. -And
It is further resolved that an emergency exists and the salary of such deputy
shall be paid out of the Current Expe4se Fund of the City of Pasco.
