Upon roll call all councilmen voted Yes. O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved that the,bill of R. T.T. Murray be allowed and warrant drawn for same. Upon roll call all councilmen voted Yes. see above claims. O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved that the bill of J. J. Badraun assigned by Campbell Construction Company be allowed and warrant issued when proper release is secured. Upbn roll call Rewell, O'Herin and Robbins noted Yes. Bryan and Nelson N0. Letter fr(,m Washington Rating and Surveying Bureau to Mayor Gannon in regard to rate on pump house read. 4,Herin seconded bar Ribbons moved that the water system be accepted with exception of intake pipe is repaired a+id with exception of reducing valves. JEW111, O'Herin and Robbins voted Yes. Bryan and Nelson voted No. Letter from James Clinton in regard to purchasing of his house near pump house read. O'Herin seconded by Robl)ins moved that action be held in abeyance until next meeting. Letter from Crosby and Durham in regard to building a natatorium in the City park read. O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved that a conuAttee be appointed to investigate feasibility of such structure and get parties mentioned to formulate planis to be sub.;itted to the council. at a later date. Carried. O'Herin, Adelson and Jewell appointed on committee. Letter from Yakima Iron works in regard to i)attern for man hole covers read. Robbins seconded by O'Herin moved that the Yakima Iron Vlorl§s be notified that the City of Pasco,will not have any use for the pattern mentioned. Carried. Letter ±rom Attorney B. B. Horrigan calling attention to the fact that the main on Lewis Street is only a short distance under ground and that nearly every year it has to be thawed out was read. , , O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved that the letter be referred to the water manager. Carried. Letter from I'ir. Moretz in rgard to making the irrigation and domestic water systems one system read. O'Herin sedonded by Robbins moved that the letter be placed on file to be taken up at the next regular meeting. r Carried. Application of Mrs. L. Fallon to operate a hotel was read. Robbins seconded by O'Herin moved that a license be granted. Carried. Applieation of Mrs. pert a Leith to operate a hotel tread. Robbins seconded by Jewell moved that a license be granted. Carried. Application of Ed. 'Dyer to operate a poll hall and soft drink establishment read. Robbins "seconded by 0.'Herin moved that a license be granted.. Carried. Application of Mrs. 11. S. Long to operate a hotel read. Robbins seconded by 0 Herin moved that a license be granted. Car ried. Petition requesting lights at eertain streets in Sylvesters Addition read. Bryan seconded by O'Herin moved that lights be ordered in at 5th and Yakima, 8th and Francis and 9th and Nixon size to be 75 watt. Carried. Report of Police Judge Ularden read. O'Herin seconded by Robbins moved that the report be accepted and place on file. Carried. Letter from 1V1r. H. Warden stating quote to be raised by Pasco for xzEtx Power tate figh t read. Ro'obins seconded by Jewell moved that acommittee of three be appointed to confer with Mr. Warden to make arrangements to get the money. Carried. Robbinsm O'Herin; Nelson appointed. ,:n ordinance regulating public garages and oil and gaeoiine stations within the fire limits of the Rity of asco, providing for a penalty for theviolation thereof and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinance sin conflict herwrith was read. Robbina seconded by O'Herin moved that the ordinance be held over until next meeting. Carried. - Mrs. Downey spoke .in regard to scraps being thrown in alley in rear of her place of business. O'Herin seconde by Jewell moved that the matter be referred to the street and alley committee. Carried. Robbins seconded by O'Herin moved that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
