May 20th, : 1924.
The Council met in regular -session with I�.yor Gaaon'presiding,,
The following answered roll call: Bryan, Goodell, Jewell, Nelson;, 0"Herin, Pyles;' Robbins.
The minutes of 14ay 6th were read and there being no objections the mayor declared them
approved as read.
O'Herin seconded by Pyles moved that the City Treasurer be given assistance in matter of
securing ddAA as to property owners and address, for one person not to exceed three days.
Upon roll call all councilmen voted yes.
Letter from Superintendent Shannon in regard to getting water from the city was read.
Water 'committee reported they told the Northern Pacific Railway Oompany that they would tom:
take $15.00 per day for water up to May 11th;' 1924.
Nelson seconded by Pyles moved that the acti on of the water committee be,accepted and if
necessary approach Northern Pacific Railway Company and ask for extension of about 30 days
longer.
Q&Herin seeonde by Goodell moved as substitute for whole action of water comittee and
s6'ttlement with Northern Pacific Railway Company for water consumed for thirty day period
ending Iday 11th, 1924 be concurred in and that matter of entering into a permanent contract
to furnish the Northern Pacific Railway Company water be held in abeyance until June l7th,

Hpon roll call all councilmen voted yes.
Application of 1Irs. E. C. Conrad to operate the Denver Hotel was read.
Goodell seconded by jyelson moved that a license be granted.
Carried.
Application of Chas Bruno to,operate'a ppol hall and soft drink establishment was read.
Linense eommitte recommends that a license be granted.
02Herin seconded by Gooddll moved that upon recommendation og the license committee a
license be granted.
Goodell; Jewell,Nelsons; 0=Heriii' Pyles and Robbins voted Yes. Bryan voted No.
I-Eayor•Gannon asks that Police Judge Bean be dismissed for violating Ordinance No. 238.
Goodell seconded by Bryan moved that Police Judge Bean be instructed to appear at the
next regular meeting of the City Council to answer charges preferred by P7layore
O'Herin moves to amend motion and that Judge Bean be temporarily removed as Police Judge.
Motion lost for want of second.
Mayor -declares Goodell's motion out of order.
Robbins seconded by O=Herin moved that council concur in order of removal of Judge Bean
by IvTayor.
Brayn stated that he understood Mr. Beau was going to resign on the first of June 1924.
Motion -withdrawn with consent of second.
O=Herin seconded by nelson moved that the City Attorney prepare ordinance governing
gasoline and other combustibles of like character which shall govern the keeping and
handling of such explosives and which ordinance shall be in compliance and conformity with
present day devices and methods.

O'Herin Seco nd2d by Pyles moved that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
