The Council met in regular session with Mayor Gannon presiding,

Upon roll call ,Goodell;; Jewell, Nelson,- O'Herin;, Pyles and Robbins voted Yes. Bryan voted No.
letter from MrQ M. L. Bannerman requestidg that she be allowQd to attend'all dances as
police matron was read.
Robbins seconded by Jewell moved that the letter be placed on the table.

Letter from 1$ . Candee to Wal lace and Tiernan Co of Seattle;' their reply and Mr. Murrayts
letter to same company and letter fromcompany to qtr. Candee in regard to chlorinator was
read.
Application of Mr. R. A. MCCileand to operate a pool hall;, soft drink establidbinent and
card room at the Corner of Lewis and First Streets was read.
O'Herin seconded by Pyles moved that the limense be granted.
Carried.
Application of Chas. Bruno to operate a pool hall;' card room and soft drink establishment
was read.
Pyles seconded by Bryan moved that the application eb referred to the police and license
committee.

A petition signed by residents in Park addition in aegard to largeer mains -for eater was
read.
Pyles seconded by Nelson moved that the petition be referred to the water manager for
immediate action.
Carried.
Mr. Markus of the Wallace Tiernan Co spoke in regard to the chlorinator at pulhp house.
Nelson moved that chlorinator be taken out and shipped to the manufacturer for overhailing.
Motion withdrawn.
Nelson seconded by Pyles moved that the matter of getting chlorinator in working order bit
referred to the water manager and he get in touch with the Pacific Power and Light Company
in regard to dame and if mm reapirs necessary ship to factory immediately and if
necessary get -in touch with State Sanitary Department as to use of theims.
Carried.
Report of Police Judge Bean read.
Nelson seconded by Bryan moved that the report be aceppted as read.
Carried.
Chief of Fire Department ask for a license for a carnival.
Nelson seconded by O'Herin moved that Chief of Police go ahead with carnival company as
per contract. -
Carried.
O=Herin seconded by Pyles moved that the clerk instruct the Northwestern Idutual Fire
Association t,o cancell insurance policy at once on pump house and equipment.
Carried.
Letter from Northern Paeifi Railway Company in regard to eerftin information on new water
system was read.
Pyles seconded by Nelson moved that Mayor Gannon give information as requested with
exception of rate.

Mayor Gannon asks the council to remove Police Judge Bean.
Robbins seconded by Jewell moved that Judge Bean be removed and confirm Mayor.
Upon roll call Jewell;' OtHerin and Robbins voted YES. Bryan;' Goodell,' Nelson and Pyles N0.
Bryan moved that Mr. Candeets election at last special council meetin be confirmed*
Motion withdrawn.
Byan nominated Candee for Yater manager.
Robbins " W. L. Ruell for water manager.
O'Herin " W. B. Barnes

Carried.
0.=Herin seconded by Nelson moved that the clerk act as teller.
Carried.
Upon ballots -being counted Ca$ee received Barnes 2; and Ruell 1.
