April 19-1924.
The Council met in regular session with Mayor Gannon presiding.
The following, answered roll call:Bryan; Goodell;, Jewell, Helsoh, O'Herin, and Pyles.

bills be allowed
and warrants drawn for same:

Letter from Franklin County Irrigation Ditsrict No. 1 advising they think 03000.00 is,a
reasonable amount for service charges for 1924 water.
Bryan seconded by Goodell moved that the letter be referred to the City Attorney for investigat
investigation and an ppinion.
Carried.
Letter from "ensselaer Valve Companya in regard to fire hydrants was.read.
Nelson seconUe d bjr Bryan moved that the purchasing agent be instructed to purchase the
necessary hydrants.
Upon roll call all councilmen vited Yes.
Report of Police Jude Bean read.
Goodell seconded bjs Judge
moved that the report be accepted.
Carried.
Attorney Davis spoke in rgard ro pumphouse site.
O'Herin seconded by Nelson moved that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up a lease
coverng both proportions as outlined in communications on file;" as to N.,P. land that
can not be sold and that thath can be sold.
Carried.
An otdinance providing for the appropriation of $1500.00 to improve"Sylvester Street from
the city limits to Yakima Street and to improve Yakima Street from Sylvester Street to"
Foutth Street;' and providing for the supervision, control and expenditure of such fund;
was read.
Nelson seconded by Goodell moved that the ordinance be declared to have had its first
reading and be given second reading by title only.
Carried.

Goodell meconded by Pyles moved that the ordinance be declared to have had its first reading
and be given second reading by title only.

In order to raise funds necessary for the three irrigations districts was dedided to
recoT�unend$3.75 per lot in District 25; $2.75 in District 43 and $3.75 in District; 44. v�

pure. -Lased `from the county.
Upon roll 'call all councilmen voted YES.
Nelson seconded by Pyles moved that the Mayor hire a janitor for the City hall at g15.00
per month.
