The Folloeing answered roll call: Bryan;, Goodell,,OlHerin, Pyles and Robbins.
The minutes of Jan. 2nd were read and there being no objections the mayor declared the4i
approved as read.
A letter from R. M. Murray in regard to bill for $634 46 read.
Goodell seconded by Robbins moved that the bill be allowed and warrant drawn as soon as
funds available.
Upbn roll oell all councilmen voted Yes.
Letter from'Camtlrell Construction Company enclosing signed contract read.
Contract with Campbell Construction Company read.
Robbins seconded by O'Herin moved that the Mayor and Clerk execute contract as read. �
Carried.
Robbins seconded by Pyles moved that the street and alley coi-imittee see Mr. Ketaer in regard
to surfacing street to connect with neer county road with fourth street. '
Robbins seconded by Pyles moved to amend motion that the committee attend to get credit for
85100 additional miles primary highway within city limits.
Carried, 1
Appplication of W, F. Chute for a pool hall and soft drink license read.
0=Rerin seconded by Pyles moved that a license be granted.
Carried.
Bryan reported the Northern Pacific would grant easementto city for pumping plant at a
rental of $15.00 per year.
Robbins seconded by Pyles moved that the report be accepted and committee discharged.
Carried.
Goodell said that a site for the tank had not been obtained as yet but that several were
in view.
Mr. Munray suggested that all certified checks and bid bonds held', with the execption of
Campbell Construction Company and Chicago Bridge and Iron Vlovks; be returned,
Bryan seconded by Goodell moved that the reco::,mendation be accepted and certied checks or
bid bonds be returned to the unsuccessful bidders.
Carried.
Report of police Judge Bean read.
Bryan seconded by Pyles moved that the report be accepted.
Carried.
Pyles seconded by Bryan moved that Levi Clayton act as water superintendent until further
notice; without additional salary.
Carried.
Mayor Gannon appointed D, C,, Gibbs Building Inspector4
Goodell seconded by 0=Herin moved that the appointment be confirmed and that he be
authorized to charge 50¢ for permits for $1000.00 structures; $1.00 for structures costing
from $1000.00 to $2500.00 and 50¢ per $1000.00 for structures costing more than $2500.00,
same to be paid by owner at time of receiving permit.
Carried.
Goodell seooded by Pyles moved that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
